‘Teen Mom 2′ Star Jenelle Evans’ Husband, David Eason, Arrested On Assault With A Deadly Weapon Charges

Former Teen Mom 2 star David Eason, the husband of Jenelle Evans, was arrested over the weekend for assault with a deadly weapon and sending threats. Eason was booked at Columbus County Detention Center and was released on an unsecured bond. His next court hearing is set for July 6. Evans said she planned to file a restraining order against Eason. Eason was arrested after a fight allegedly broke out between himself and Evans’ friends, and Eason allegedly hit one of the men with a pistol, causing injuries to his back and neck. Evans is now staying at a relative’s home

Evans also shared on her Facebook page that she was doing well, and planned to take another social media hiatus. “I just want to let the public, tabloids, and my fans know that IM OK, IM SAFE AND SO ARE THE KIDS! I’m going to take a few days out to myself to gather my thoughts and focus on what’s going on so I won’t be on social media much,” she wrote. “I love you all for the support that you all have shown me and I’ll be stronger and better than ever soon!”

Back in October 2019, Evans said she was going to file for divorce from Eason and moved from North Carolina to the Nashville area with her children. However, Eason revealed the couple was back together in March. The couple has been married since 2017 and are parents to 3-year-old daughter Ensley. She also has two children from previous relationships, Kaiser Griffith, 5, and Jace Evans, 10.

‘Beatles: Get Back’ Documentary Postponed Until Next Year

Peter Jackson’s upcoming documentary about the Beatles’ Get Back sessions has been postponed until next year. The Beatles: Get Back, chronicles the group’s rehearsals and performances from January 1969 as it began work on a new album. The movie was originally scheduled to open in September but has now been delayed for almost a year until August 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Beatles: Get Back is just one of several projects that Disney has postponed until next year. The film expands on the Beatles’ original 1970 movie Let It Be, which was envisioned as a TV special before the group changed direction during the making of the album. The Beatles had intended to “get back” to their roots with a new stripped-down record. Jackson’s documentary will include previously unseen footage. Jackson’s movie will also include the entirety of the famous rooftop concert.

‘Breonna’s Law’ Passes In Louisville, Kentucky; Banning Use Of “No-Knock” Warrants

The use of “no-knock” warrants has been banned in Louisville, with the new ordinance named for Breonna Taylor, the young black woman who was fatally shot after officers burst into her home. Louisville’s Metro Council unanimously voted Thursday night to ban the controversial warrants after days of protests and calls for reform.

Taylor, who was studying to become a nurse, was shot eight times by officers conducting a narcotics investigation on March 13. No drugs were found at her home. Taylor’s mother, Tamika Palmer, said after the law was passed, “I’m just going to say, Breonna, that’s all she wanted to do was save lives, so with this law she will continue to get to do that. She would be so happy.”

The law bans the use of the warrants by Louisville Metro officers. Police typically use them in drug cases over concern that evidence could be destroyed if they announce their arrival. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul also introduced federal legislation Thursday that would ban the use of no-knock warrants nationwide.

Dow Plunges 7% In Biggest Drop Since March

On Thursday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 1,861 points, or 6.9 percent, and the S&P 500 was down 5.9 percent, the biggest fall since March 16.  There were sharp declines in several sectors, including hospitality and leisure. As more than 20 states report a climb in coronavirus cases, there are new worries that consumers will be reluctant to return to restaurants and take trips.

During a news conference on Wednesday, Federal Reserve Chairman Jay Powell said the central bank is committed to keeping interest rates near zero, highlighting the uncertainty surrounding the timing of an economic recovery. In his remarks, Powell again acknowledged the risks of a so-called “second wave” after states reopen their economies. “You could see a public loss of confidence in parts of the economy that will be already slow to recover,” he said.

The Department of Labor released its latest report showing more than 1.5 million people filed for unemployment benefits for the first time. Since the pandemic began over 44 million have filed initial unemployment claims.

Premiere League To Replace Player Names On Jerseys With “Black Lives Matter” During First Round Of Games

Premier League clubs are considering replacing players’ names on the back of jerseys with the phrase “Black Lives Matter” for the league’s first games back since the coronavirus pandemic suspended play.

Clubs across the Premier League will likely sport the altered jerseys for the first round of games when the league returns on June 17. The Premier League’s decision follows support for the Black Lives Matter movement from teams in the Bundesliga. Eintracht Frankfurt donned jerseys with “Black Lives Matter” on Wednesday, while Bayern Munich wore warmup shirts and armbands with “Black Lives Matter” on them last week.

The dedications throughout European soccer follow global protests after the death of George Floyd, who was killed in Minnesota police custody on May 25.  Premier League jerseys are also expected to feature patches honoring NHS workers for their service during the COVID-19 crisis.

NFL Extends Virtual Offseason Period Until June 26

The NFL has extended virtual offseason programs for teams through June 26, but said they will go no further than that date. Team facilities have opened for key personnel, coaches and players rehabilitating injuries, but healthy players have been barred from those complexes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The remote programs have taken the place of on-site work, and some teams already have announced they are shutting down.

On Thursday, the league said it will allow the virtual work for an additional 15 days. “We will continue working with the NFLPA to conclude the remaining protocols and finalize arrangements for the safe opening of training camps next month,” league spokesman Brian McCarthy said.

Most training camps are scheduled to open late next month. The NFL plans to open the regular season on time with Houston at Super Bowl champion Kansas City on Sept. 10.
