Fox News has fired national correspondent Ed Henry after the network was made aware of sexual harassment allegations.

Sandra Smith, Henry’s co-anchor on the weekday current affairs program “America’s Newsroom,” addressed the issue on air, reading from an internal memo issued to staffers: “On Thursday, June 25, we received a complaint about Ed Henry from a former employee’s attorney involving willful sexual misconduct in the workplace years ago. Based on the investigative findings, Ed has been terminated.”

Henry’s attorney, Catherine Foti, said in a statement Wednesday that “Ed Henry denies the allegations referenced in the Fox announcement and is confident that he will be vindicated after a full hearing in an appropriate forum.”

Cardinals Will Replace Yankees For “Field Of Dreams” Game In Iowa This Summer

A Major League Baseball game is still scheduled at the Field of Dreams movie site this summer; but the New York Yankees won’t be traveling to Iowa to compete. Instead, the St. Louis Cardinals are expected to play the Chicago White Sox in the Aug. 13 game near the iconic Dyersville diamond. MLB is continuing with the originally scheduled date.

The game is being played in a specially constructed 8,000-seat stadium where the 1989 movie was filmed. The Yankees and White Sox were originally set to play, but with the coronavirus pandemic shortening the regular-season schedule to 60 games, a game between the White Sox and Yankees was no longer possible.

The new Dyersville park has been under construction since shortly after last year’s announcement of the game.  It will include a pathway through a cornfield to take fans to the ballpark, which will overlook the famous movie location. The right-field wall will include windows to show the cornfields beyond the ballpark.

NFL Cuts Two Weeks Of Preseason Games Due To Coronavirus Preparation

The NFL announced on Wednesday that they have decided to cancel two weeks of preseason games. The first and fourth weeks of the exhibition slate will be eliminated. Schedules will be reconfigured so that each team has one home game and one away contest.

NFL teams are still scheduled to have veterans report for training camp by July 28. Canceling the first week of games provides a longer acclimation period as teams try to establish and implement protocols to mitigate exposure to and transmission of the virus, while also providing additional time for players to work on conditioning after conducting the offseason virtually.  Eliminating the final week provides a greater buffer before the anticipated start of the season on Sept. 10.

Jada Pinkett Smith Denies August Alsina’s Claims Of An Affair

During an interview this week with Angela Yee, singer August Alsina addressed the rumors he once dated Jada Pinkett Smith and claimed Will Smith gave him permission to have a sexual relationship with his wife. But according to Jada’s reps, Alsina’s story is “absolutely not true.”

Alsina told Yee with 100 percent conviction an open and honest conversation took place between the blockbuster movie star and him. “I love those people literally like my family,” Alsina said. “I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership that they’ve spoken on several times and it not involving romanticism. He gave me his blessing and I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life.  And I truly am really, really deeply loved and have a ton of love for her. I devoted myself to it. I gave my full self to it – so much so to the point that I can die right now and be OK with knowing that I truly gave myself to somebody.”

Alsina sang about a love affair with an actress on the song “Nunya” in 2019. The single art featured a text from a woman named Koren, which is Pinkett Smith’s middle name, but he denied the song was about her.

The Smiths have not publicly addressed the allegations.
