Big Ten, Pac-12 Postpone Fall College Football, Other Sports This Season

The Big Ten became the first Power 5 conference to cancel its fall sports seasons Tuesday, announcing that there will be no football, men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball played in the conference this fall.

Citing “too much uncertainty” with medical risks related to the coronavirus pandemic, Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren said Tuesday, “The overarching issues that we had to always keep at the top of our mind was the fact … that the health, the safety, the wellness and both physical and mental for our student athletes was going to be at the top of my list. When you look at this decision, we just believe collectively there’s too much uncertainty at this point in time in our country and to really encourage our student-athletes to participate in fall sports.”

The Pac-12 Conference followed with a similar decision and will postpone all fall sports through the 2020 calendar year after its athletics directors consulted with the conference’s COVID-19 Medical Advisory Committee. The Pac-12 voted unanimously on the decision.

Both the Big Ten and Pac-12 plan to explore the possibility of playing their fall seasons in the spring.

Hulu Will Air Episode Of ‘Black-ish’ That Was Pulled In 2018

The Black-ish episode that never aired will finally make its debut on Hulu. The episode, titled “Please, Baby, Please,” focused on racism and the state of the country one year after Donald Trump was elected President, but was shelved by Disney/ABC in 2018.

Now, Hulu will finally be airing the episode, which series creator Kenya Barris announced on Twitter:  “In November 2017, we made an episode of ‘black-ish’ entitled ‘Please, Baby, Please.’ We were one year post-election and coming to the end of a year that left us, like many Americans, grappling with the state of our country and anxious about its future,” he wrote. “Those feelings poured onto the page, becoming 22 minutes of television that Iwas, and still am, incredibly proud of. Please, Baby, Please’ didn’t make it to air that season, and while much has been speculated about its contents, the episode has never been seen publicly… until now.”

Listen To Blink-182’s New Single “Quarantine”

blink-182 have released a brand-new single called Quarantine

“This song is about the sadness, confusion, anger and frustration we are all experiencing right now. I hope that everybody is safe and that we can get through this very soon. Can’t wait to see you all on the other side.” said bassist Mark Hoppus. Travis Barker added, “The song was inspired by the quarantine and the crappy punk rock music we have loved to play since day one. All the drums are one take and I even sang some back up vocals. Mark sounds more pissed off than I’ve ever heard him and I really like it.”

President Donald Trump was escorted out of a press conference on Monday evening after a person was shot by Secret Service outside of the White House. The Secret Service tweeted Monday night that a Secret Service officer and a male subject were both taken to a local hospital after an officer-involved shooting took place at 17th Street and Pennsylvania Ave.

A Secret Service agent approached Trump as he was delivering his daily press briefing in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room. After about 10 minutes the president returned and resumed the press conference, stating that there had been a shooting outside the White House.

“There was an actual shooting and somebody’s been taken to the hospital. I don’t know the condition of the person,” Trump said.
