Dave Grohl Teams Up With AC/DC’s Brian Johnson For New Documentary

The Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and AC/DC vocalist Brian Johnson have taken part in a documentary where they’ll discuss their lives and careers. 

Grohl will sit down with Johnson at the Foos’ legendary Studio 606 in California where they will share stories about life in a band. The docunentary, titled Brian Johnson Meets Dave Grohl, will air on Sky Arts September 17, 2020. The official synopsis states: “It’s a meeting of rock legends as AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson meets Foo Fighters lead singer and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl at the Foos’ LA studio to share stories about life on the road.”

Rolling Stones Stream Unreleased Track ‘All The Rage’ From 1973 Album ‘Goats Head Soup’

The Rolling Stones are streaming a lyric video for “All The Rage”, from the expanded reissues of their 1973 album, “Goats Head Soup.”

All The Rage is one of three previously-unreleased tracks in the package, alongside “Criss Cross”, and “Scarlet”, which features guitar work by Jimmy Page.  Produced by Jimmy Miller and recorded in Jamaica, Los Angeles and London, the project topped the charts around the world and delivered such Stones classic as “Angie”, “Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)” and “Dancing with Mr. D.”

Billie Eilish Teams With Fender For Signature Ukulele

Billie Eilish has teamed with Fender for a signature ukulele that has the singer’s signature “blohsh” logo. The ukulele retails for $299.99.

A statement announcing the collaboration read:  “As soon as she burst onto the scene with her 2015 single ‘Ocean Eyes,’ it was clear that Billie Eilish is a force to be reckoned with. In the years since, she has established herself as a new kind of pop culture icon, taking the fashion and music industries by storm on her own terms. Billie’s meteoric ascent to pop stardom started with the ukulele, the first instrument she learned to play. Designed in collaboration with Billie Eilish, her Signature Ukulele is a stage-ready instrument that embodies Billie’s bold, unmistakable style.”

The instrument is Eilish’s main songwriting tool.  Fender is also offering three free months of online guitar, bass or ukulele lessons with a through their Fender Play program.

BTS’ “Dynamite” Makes History At No. 1 On Billboard Hot 100 For Second Week In A Row

BTS’ “Dynamite” is at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart for a second week in a row. “Dynamite” debuted at the Hot 100’s summit, marking the group’s first No. 1 and the first leader on the list ever for an all-South Korean act.

The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming, radio airplay and sales data. “Dynamite” holds at No. 1 on the strength of 17.5 million U.S. streams and 182,000 downloads sold. “Dynamite” is additionally the first song to have sold over 180,000 downloads in its first two weeks of release since Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!”

WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange Appears At Extradition Hearing

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange appeared at London’s Old Bailey on Monday for a hearing to determine whether he should be extradited to the United States to face espionage charges.Assange told the British court he didn’t consent to being sent to the United States to be tried on 18 charges, which bring up to 175 years in prison.

The 49-year-old Assange had been living in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London since 2012 when he sought asylum to dodge sexual assault charges in Sweden, before being arrested in April 2019. He was arrested after Ecuador withdrew its offer of asylum. The WikiLeaks founder was indicted on 17 new charges of violating the Espionage Act in May of last year and already faced a charge from March 2018 of conspiring to commit unlawful computer intrusion, which carried a maximum five years in prison. Assange was accused of working with former intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning to obtain and publicly release classified information. The new charges brought his total charges to 18 counts with each violation of the Espionage Act carrying a maximum 10-year sentence.

Wildfires Continue To Spread In Califormia Along With Severe Weather And Heat Wave

On Monday firefighters in California continued to battle multiple blazes fueled by extreme heat and other severe weather conditions. A record high 2 million acres have been burned in the state this year.

The devastating Creek Fire burning in the Sierra region area has grown to over 78,000 acres and was 0% contained as of Monday morning. Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency for the area on Monday. Auberry and North Fork were both placed under mandatory evacuation orders. In Southern California, the El Dorado Fire, which was sparked by a pyrotechnic device used in a gender reveal party, has burned over 7,300 acres and is only 7% contained, Multiple homes have been destroyed and some 21,000 residents have been evacuated

A state of emergency was declared in San Diego County as the Valley Fire burned over 10,200 acres and was only 1% contained.

Boston Celtics Defeat Toronto Raptors 111-89 In Game 5 Of Eastern Conference Semifinals

The Boston Celtics defeated the Toronto Raptors in a 111-89 victory, taking a 3-2 series lead in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Boston’s defense held off the Raptors, who managed just 11 points in the first quarter and were unable to climb back from the deficit. The Celtics Jaylen Brown scored 27 points on 10-of-18 shooting, and Kemba Walker scored 21 points with seven assists.

Boston can advance to its third Eastern Conference finals in four years with a win on Wednesday.

Dustin Johnson Wins 2020 PGA Tour Championship

Dustin Johnson won the 2020 PGA Tour Championship and FedEx Cup title at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. Johnson held onto his third-round lead and shot a 2-under par 68 on Monday to win

Johnson entered the day with a five-shot lead on the field after a 6-under par 64 on Sunday. He claimed a $15 million payday with Monday’s performance and finished 21-under par for the tournament. Justin Thomas and Xander Schauffele tied for second at 18-under par for the tournament. Jon Rahm finished fourth, and reigning FedEx Cup champion Rory McIlroy finished tied for eighth

.Johnson, 36, is the top player in the Official World Golf Ranking and became the first No. 1 seed at the Tour Championship to claim the FedEx Cup title since Tiger Woods in 2009. He had two wins, two second-place finishes and six Top 25 finishes in 13 regular-season events. He finished 29th in the 2019 FedEx Cup standings. Johnson placed fourth in 2017 and 2018 and second in 2016.

Alabama Announce Two Shows In Nashville With Martina McBride In 2021

Alabama has announced two new stops in Nashville in 2021 as part of their delayed 50th Anniversary Tour. The trio is set to perform at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on July 2 and July 3 with special guest Martina McBride.

Alabama had to postpone more than 25 shows on their 50th Anniversary Tour in 2019 as frontman Randy Owen dealt with vertigo and migraines.  The band planned to resume their tour in 2020, however, the COVID-19 pandemic put a stop to all touring and live shows.  Alabama’s show at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena was originally scheduled for Nov. 20, 2019, then rescheduled for July 17, 2020, with an additional date set for July 18, 2020. The late Charlie Daniels, who died on July 6, had been slated to join Alabama at both Nashville shows.

Additional tour dates for Alabama’s 50th Anniversary Tour will be announced in the coming months. Tickets are on sale now.

Carly Pearce Releases New Single “Next Girl”

Carly Pearce has released her latest single, “Next Girl,” the follow-up her 2020 No. 1 single, “I Hope Your Happy Now.”

“Next Girl” will officially be released to country radio on Sept. 28. The single, co-written by Carly, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, is the singer’s first new music without producer busbee, who passed away in September 2019. It also represents Carly’s first new music since her divorce from Michael Ray after less than a year of marriage.
