Officials confirmed that Coachella and Stagecoach‘s April 2021 festival dates are canceled. The news arrives shortly after Glastonbury Festival also canceled its 2021 event.
Last year, Coachella moved its 2020 festival to October before canceling it altogether. Coachella 2021 was set to happen on Apr. 9-11 and Apr.16-18, 2021 but now the festival has been canceled once again. Stagecoach was set for Apr. 23-25, 2021.
Dr. Cameron Kaiser, the public health officer for Riverside County, confirmed the news on Twitter, saying, “Due to the pandemic, Public Health Officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser today (Jan. 29) signed a public health order canceling Coachella Valley Music and Arts, Stagecoach Country Music festivals planned for April 2021. We look forward to when the events may return.”
At this time, no new dates for Coachella and Stagecoach have been announced. Some of the headliners scheduled for Coachella included Rage Against The Machine, Travis Scott, Frank Ocean, Lana Del Rey, and Run The Jewels among others.
