Morgan Wallen’s ‘Dangerous’ earns the No. 1 spot on Billboard 200 for sixth week

Morgan Wallen Dangerous: The Double Album is No. 1 for a sixth week on the Billboard 200 as of Sunday (February 21). The run marks the most weeks atop the list for a male artist since Drake’s Views spent 13 nonconsecutive weeks at the top in 2016. Only three albums have spent at least six weeks at No. 1 in the last five years: Dangerous, Taylor Swift’s Folklore (eight nonconsecutive weeks, 2020) and Drake’s Views (13).

Earlier in the month, video footage surfaced of the 27-year-old Wallen using a racial slur, which resulted in him being suspended from his record label and ineligible for some music awards.

Philadelphia Eagles to trade QB Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts.

The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to trade quarterback Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts. In exchange for the quarterback, the Colts will send a third-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and a second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft to the Eagles.

The 28-year-old Wentz completed a career-low 57.4% of his passes for 2,620 yards, 16 touchdowns and an NFL-high 15 interceptions in 12 starts last season. The Eagles won the Super Bowl in 2017 but were quarterbacked by backup Nick Foles throughout the playoffs after Wentz sustained a season-ending injury.

The Eagles gave Wentz a four-year, $128 million contract extension in 2019 which includes $107 million guaranteed. The team will take a $33.8 million dead salary cap hit this season because of Wentz’s extension, and Indianapolis will pay the remainder of Wentz’s contract. He is owed a $10 million roster bonus in March.

The Eagles will play Jalen Hurts at quarterback in 2021. Hurts, a second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, took over as the Eagles’ starter in Week 13 of the 2020 season.

Luke Combs shares new song ‘Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old’

Luke Combs posted a video of himself playing an acoustic version “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old,” which he wrote with Channing Wilson and Rob Snyder. In the new song, Combs sings that these days, “I spend most my happy hours here at home…I’m in the middle of growin’ up and gettin’ old.”

Combs was also just named to the TIME100 Next list, which included a tribute written by Garth Brooks. Brooks wrote, “In this age of self-promotion, Luke Combs is letting everybody else do the talking for him. That’s big in country music, which is all about sincerity and humility. And—despite his achievements, including winning Best Album at the 2020 Country Music Awards—Luke has both of those in spades. He realizes that being a star is not up to him: the people will confirm it.”

Michael B. Jordan to produce Muhammad Ali series with Jay-Z for Amazon

Michael B. Jordan announced that his production company has signed an expanded deal with Amazon Studios to produce films and TV. Jordan’s company Outlier Society will develop a new Muhammad Ali limited series, to be executive produced by Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.

Jordan said, “It’s an incredible honor and I bring tons of respect to it. It’s a healthy weight to carry, to be able to tell the story of Muhammad Ali. It’s called The Greatest right now and we’re partnered with Roc Nation on the music side of things. It’s a project where we’ve partnered with the estate and we’ll be able to tell this story with no red tape. It’s a limited series that will really dive into the life of Muhammad Ali.”

Jordan added that he will not be acting in the project, and will instead will be working behind the scenes: “People know Muhammad Ali from his boxing days, but this is an opportunity to go beyond the ring, and more into the man. It’s going to give more of a 360 degree view of who he was. And no, I’m not playing that guy, I can say that for sure, and we are still in early stages here and can’t say too much. We are still putting the pieces together, but it feels like something to look forward to in the future.”
