Brooklyn Nets’ Nets Kyrie Irving and James Harden to miss Game 5 vs. Bucks due to injury

Brooklyn Nets’ guards Kyrie Irving and James Harden will miss the pivotal Game 5 matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks tonight.  Irving was ruled out of the game at Barclays Center after an MRI confirmed that he suffered a right ankle sprain in Sunday’s Game 4. Harden, who strained his hamstring in Game 1 of the second-round series, also remains out.

Nets head coach Steve Nash told reporters he has “no idea” whether Irving will return in the best-of-seven series against the Bucks, which is tied at two games apiece after two straight Milwaukee wins.  He said on Monday:  “I have to wait and see how it progresses, I think. And then the experts would have to wait and see how it progresses and give you a clearer picture on what the window would be for his return.”

The 29-year-old Irving sustained his ankle injury halfway through the second quarter of Sunday’s game when he landed awkwardly on Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s foot, and remained on the floor for several minutes as Nash and team trainers attended to him.  Harden, who has been out since June 5, has done some on-court work since his injury, but he still needed to complete multiple high intensity workouts without any setbacks before being cleared to compete.

Game 5 of the series is set for tonight at 8:30 p.m. EDT in Brooklyn.

Chrissy Teigen addresses her past bullying tweets in lengthy apology

Chrissy Teigen is addressing her past behaviour on social media, apologizing and taking responsibility for her past online bullying in an essay penned for Medium.  Teigen, 35, opened up about the “very humbling few weeks” she has faced following the aftermath of her controversial resurfaced tweets. Recently, the model came under fire for previously bullying multiple stars, including Courtney Stodden, Lindsay Lohan and Farrah Abraham, when they were younger (in the wake of Teigen’s resurfaced tweets, she initially issued a public apology to Stodden, 26, on Twitter).

Teigen wrote on Medium: “Not a day, not a single moment has passed where I haven’t felt the crushing weight of regret for the things I’ve said in the past” adding, “there is simply no excuse for my past horrible tweets. My targets didn’t deserve them. No one does. Many of them needed empathy, kindness, understanding and support, not my meanness masquerading as a kind of casual, edgy humor. I was a troll, full stop. And I am so sorry.”  Teigen continued: “There’s no justification for my behavior. I’m not a victim here. The subjects of your sympathy – and mine – should be those I put down. The truth is, I’m no longer the person who wrote those horrible things. I grew up, got therapy, got married, had kids, got more therapy, experienced loss and pain, got more therapy and experienced more life. AND GOT MORE THERAPY.”

In conclusion, Teigen wrote,  “I won’t ask for your forgiveness, only your patience and tolerance. I ask that you allow me, as I promise to allow you, to own past mistakes and be given the opportunity to seek self improvement and change. Phew. A lot, I know. Thanks for listening.”
