San Diego Padres acquire second baseman Adam Frazier in trade with Pirates

San Diego has acquired All-Star second baseman Adam Frazier in a trade with the Pirates, in return for three minor league players in the deal: shortstop Tucupita Marcano, right-handed pitcher Mitchell Miliano and outfielder Jack Suwinski.

The 29-year-old Frazier has been among baseball’s breakout stars this season, batting .324/.388/.448 with 58 runs scored in 98 games. He currently leads the majors with 125 hits this year and will not be a free agent until after the 2022 season.

San Diego already has an All-Star at second base in Jake Cronenworth, though he also has experience at first. Frazier’s arrival could possibly move Cronenworth there, reducing play time for current first baseman Eric Hosmer.

Carrie Underwood and Jason Aldean team up for “If I Didn’t Love You”

Jason Aldean has released a brand new duet with Carrie Underwood called “If I Didn’t Love You,” the lead single from his forthcoming 10th studio album. The song was produced by Jason’s longtime friend and collaborator Michael Knox, co-written by his bandmates Kurt Allison and Tully Kennedy alongside John Morgan and Lydia Vaughan.

“If I Didn’t Love You” marks the first time Aldean and Underwood have released a duet together.  Aldean said: “We were pretty close to finishing up this album, but this song came in and we knew we had to record it. I went ahead and put my vocals down while we asked Carrie in the meantime. Luckily she loved the song and it was kind of like a rocket from there. She did her thing like only Carrie can…and I don’t know how, but she made it sound even better than what we expected. It’s a really special song to start this album.”

Taylor Swift shares original version of “the lakes” on the first anniversary of ‘folklore’

To celebrate the first anniversary of the release of her album folklore, Taylor Swift shared the original version of the album’s bonus track “the lakes.”

Swift wrote on Instagram: “It’s been one year since we escaped the real world together and imagined ourselves someplace simpler. With tall tall trees and salt air. Where you’re allowed to wear lace nightgowns that make you look like a Victorian ghost every day & no one will side eye you cause no one is around. It’s just you and your imaginary cabin and the stories you make up to pass the time. To say thank you for all you have done to make this album what it was, I wanted to give you the original version of The Lakes. Happy 1 year anniversary to Rebekah, Betty, Inez, James, Augustine, and the lives we all created around them. Happy Anniversary, folklore.”
