Former NBA star JR Smith has enrolled at North Carolina A&T and plans to join the historically Black university’s men’s golf team if the NCAA clears him, according to the university.

Smith has officially enrolled at North Carolina A&T and has petitioned the NCAA to be allowed to play, according to North Carolina A&T athletics spokesman Brian Holloway. Because he went to the NBA after high school, Smith’s clock to compete as a collegiate athlete has not yet started. In most circumstances, athletes are given five years to complete four years of eligibility.

“We’re just going through the normal process we would go through with any prospective student-athlete,” Holloway said. “But this one is just a little different.”

Sam Reinhart strikes 3-year contract

The Florida Panthers have signed recently forward Sam Reinhart to a three-year contract worth an estimated $6.5 million per year, according to several reports.

Reinhart, who was a restricted free agent at the time, was 25 years old. Last month, the Panthers acquired him from the Sabres in exchange for a first-round draft pick and goalkeeper prospect Devon Levi.

Last season, he was signed to a one-year, $5.2 million deal with the failing Sabres. In 54 games, he scored 25 goals and provided 15 assists for a club plagued by injuries and dysfunction.

Dierks Bentley takes time to stops and smell the roses

The pandemic for most is a hard way a of life, but some find that silver lining.. In an interview Dierk said “I wasn’t like literally jonesing (to play live) like maybe some people were,” , “I kind of saw an opportunity to re-balance my life in some way that would benefit me when live music did come back around. And that’s exactly what I did. I moved to Colorado and put the guitar in the closet and just was focusing on life adventures outside of the stage, and it was awesome.”… I say good for you!

Director Halle Berry gets down in upcoming film

Halle Berry has been throwing down in her last few movies… John Wick she trained like a beast for that roll, now with her directorial debut of her Netfix movie “Bruised”, which premieres in November. Berry said in an interview: “When you break something, it calcifies and it’s stronger. You don’t usually break the same bones twice,”. At 54 years of age now she plays an MMA role ad doing it well.

Carrie Underwood Earns Two GMA Dove Awards Nominations

Carrie Underwood’s first collection of gospel songs, My Savior, was released earlier this year. Underwood’s album included covers of famous church hymns like as “The Old Rugged Cross” and “I Surrender All.”

Underwood was one of the nominees for this year’s GMA Dove Awards, which were announced this week. My Savior has been nominated for Best Country/Roots/Bluegrass Album of the Year, and Underwood’s duet with CeCe Winans on “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” has been nominated for Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year.

In 2006, Underwood won a GMA Dove Award for Country Recorded Song of the Year for her debut.single “Jesus, Take The Wheel.”
