Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury set to play for Blackhawks this season

Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has informed the Chicago Blackhawks that he will play for the team during the 2021-22 season after being acquired in a trade last week. The 36-year-old Fleury has one year remaining on his current contract with a salary cap hit of $7 million for this season.

After spending the past four seasons with The Golden Knights traded Fleury to Chicago last week after spending four seasons there, however rumors circulated that Fleury would not want to play for Chicago because he did not want to leave Vegas and uproot his family again at this stage of his career. Fleury, the 2020-21 Vezina Trophy winner, said that he needed to take some time to consider his future, after having found out he was traded on Twitter.

Along with Fleury, Chicago has also added Seth Jones, Tyler Johnson, Jake McCabe, and Caleb Jones to its roster this offseason, and should be getting captain Jonathan Toews back after he missed the entire 2020-21 season.

Brett Young and wife Taylor welcome new baby daughter Rowan Marie

Brett Young and his wife Taylor welcomed their second daughter, Rowan Marie Young, on Wednesday, July 21; the couple announced the news over the weekend on Instagram. Brett, 40, and Taylor, 33, are also parents to daughter Presley Elizabeth, who turns 2 in October.

Brett wrote on Instagram along with a photo of baby Rowan: “Rowan Marie Young. 7-21-21. I thought my heart was maxed out. I usually don’t like to be wrong…… I was wrong. And I can’t wait to thank you properly for the opportunity to be your daddy. I already love you so much and I can’t wait to watch you and your sister become best friends,” he captioned a photo of the newborn. FYI….. the women in your life are superheroes and you’re the luckiest lady alive. Presley has been begging for you. Be prepared for me to mess everything up and your mom and sister to always be there to fix it. I love you. Welcome to the ‘Youngs’. Daddy”

The couple revealed they were expecting baby #2 in January, saying at the time, “We really wanted them to be close enough in age so they could have a lot of things in common and be best friends. Tay had her sister close in age growing up, so we both felt strongly we wanted Presley to have the same.”   Young also has his first children’s boo,  titled ‘Love You, Little Lady’ and based on the lyrics of his No. 1 hit “Lady,” scheduled for release on Aug. 24.

Steve Martin, Selena Gomez, and Martin Short investigate a strange killing in the new trailer for Only Murders in the Building, a new series premiering August 31st on Hulu.

Sting even makes a cameo as a prime suspect, prompting Gomez’s character to quip, “The guy from U2?”

Martin co-created and wrote Only Murders in the Building with John Hoffman. The series will premiere with the first three episodes, with new episodes arriving every Tuesday after that.
