Lady A invites fans to participate in their 2022 Request Line Tour

Lady A is inviting fans to join their Request Line Tour, which is set to kick off with back-to-back nights at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Aug. 13-14.  During the ‘Request Line Tour,’ fans can call 615-882-1975 and ask to hear their favorite Lady A songs to be added to the show’s set list.

Each night, fans will experience hits from the trio while also interacting with them in real time to directly request songs– making no two shows the same.  Lady A — consisting of Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood — will receive support from longtime friend and collaborator Dave Barnes on the tour.  Said Haywood:  “We’ve been touring for over fifteen years and have played some of the biggest venues in the world but there’s something truly special about being close to your audience and having the flexibility to include the fans in how the show goes. During our Vegas residency our favorite moments allowed the three of us to talk with the fans and play what they wanted to hear. So we’re taking that spirit and making it a regular part of our shows this year.”

Lady A’s fan club presale starts Tuesday, April 19, and Friday, April 22 for general public tickets. For more information and tour updates, visit. https://www.ladyamusic.com/.

Luke Combs reveals release date for his upcoming third album

Luke Combs is set to release his long-awaited third album on June 24th. Combs wrote on social media: “This has been a long time coming, but I’m excited to announce my next album will be released on June 24! Thank y’all for being patient with me. I can’t wait for y’all to hear these songs. I’ll be sharing more info on the album next week!”

The album is the follow-up to ‘What You See Ain’t Always What You Get,’ the deluxe version of Combs’ global No. 1 album, What You See Is What You Get. In 2020, Combs made history as the first artist ever to have their first two studio albums spend 25 weeks or more at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart — breaking the previous record held by Taylor Swift at 24 weeks.

No track listing was revealed for the new LP, but fans can pre-save the album at your streaming service of choice.  During a recent press event, Combs said the pandemic delayed the album as he shifted his focus to the rescheduled tour dates that started last fall:  “I kinda took a pause on working on [the album] because I just really wanted to focus on that tour. We didn’t cancel one show. We had a lot of setbacks, you know — regulatory setbacks, things like that, but It was nice to be able to just focus on that, and that’s been the reason the album’s not out yet.”

CBS renews ‘The Talk’ for its 13th season

CBS has renewed the daytime talk show “The Talk” for a 13th season, it was announced during Monday’s show. All five hosts — Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Jerry O’Connell, Natalie Morales and Sheryl Underwood — are slated to return.

The Talk has undergone a huge turnover of co-hosts over the past few years. Underwood is the longest-serving host on the panel, having joined the show in Season 2.  Morales, a long-time NBC News correspondent and anchor, and American Ninja Warrior alum Gbajabiamila joined the show this season after the departures of Carrie Ann Inaba and Elaine Welteroth. Kloots joined the show in early 2021 along with Welteroth, and O’Connell joined the show in July 2021, a few months after Sharon Osbourne was let go following an on-air argument with Underwood and allegations of racist comments from former co-hosts Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini.

Take a listen to Taylor Hawkins on lead vocals for the newly-released Johnny Winter cover

The late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins is featured on a new Johnny Winter cover. The rendition is a part of the ‘Brother Johnny’ covers album put together by Winter’s younger brother, Edgar Winter.

The track “Guess I’ll Go Away” features Hawkins on lead vocals, and Edgar said: “I had only just met Taylor, and barely got to know him, but I was so impressed by his sincerity, positive energy, and pure enthusiasm. He had a unique spontaneous style different from anyone I’ve ever worked with before. I can be very opinionated—but as soon as heard what he was doing, I knew it was best to step back, stay out of the way, and let him do his thing. That session was an experience I will never forget. When I tried to open a business discussion, he simply would not hear of it. He said—I don’t want ANYTHING for doing this, I just want’a get out there and Rock. And Rock HE DID! I don’t know if it was out of respect for Johnny, a desire to help me in what I was doing, compassion for the nature of the project, or his friendship with [engineer and producer Ross Hogarth]. Most probably all these things—but whatever it was, he gave it His ALL!”

‘Brother Johnny’ is out now.  You can take a a listen to Taylor on the cover or ‘Guess I’ll Go Away” – here.

2 youths killed, 8 others injured in shooting at Pittsburgh house party

Two youths were killed and at least eight others were injured during a shooting a party at a short-term rental property in Pittsburgh early Sunday morning.  Sunday’s shooting occurred in Pittsburgh’s East Allegheny neighborhood, also known as Deutschtown, on the city’s North Side.  Pittsburgh police said that more than 200 people, many underage, were inside the Airbnb rental when the shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m.  Pittsburgh Police Chief Scott Schubert said Sunday during a press conference that at least one of the gunshot victims was as young as 14 years old; however, he did not identify the two deceased victims.

No arrests were immediately reported, but Police Chief Schubert said “it is our top priority to find out who did this and get them off the street,” adding that they believe there were multiple shooters.

The Pittsburgh shooting was one of three high-profile shootings over Easter weekend. In Hampton County, South Carolina at least nine people were injured in a shooting at a club; and 14 people were hurt when gunfire erupted at a crowded Columbia, South Carolina, mall on Saturday.

Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey released a statement following the shooting Sunday: “At least 10 gunshot victims, two lives lost, and hundreds of lives forever changed, because we have yet to pass meaningful legislation to lessen the amount of guns in our streets or provide the much-needed resources to communities desperately in need. The time is now for us to move with a sense of urgency to bring justice to the victims and peace to our city.”

Authorities confirm shooting at South Carolina club leaving 9 injured

Authorities in South Carolina have confirmed a shooting early Sunday morning at a club in Hampton County that left at least nine people injured.  The State Law Enforcement Division said there were no reported fatalities in the Easter morning shooting at the club in Hampton County, and as of press time no information was immediately available on the severity of the injuries. South Carolina’s State Law Enforcement Division is investigating the early Sunday shooting at Cara’s Lounge in Hampton County, which is roughly 80 miles west of Charleston. A phone call to the nightclub was not answered.

It was the second mass shooting in the state in as many days. A day earlier, gunfire erupted at a busy mall in the state capital of Columbia, where nine people were shot and five people were injured while trying to flee the scene at Columbiana Centre. The victims in that shooting ranged in age from 15 to 73.
