Zac Brown Band announce deluxe version of ‘The Comeback’

Zac Brown Band’s album The Comeback will be released as a new deluxe edition this fall, featuring guest appearances from fellow country artists.

Blake Shelton collaborates with the ban on a new version of “Out in the Middle,” ZBB’s current single. The duet version of the song will be out June 22, ahead of the deluxe album’s release day. The group said in a statement: “The Comeback is the best album we’ve ever made, and to rerecord a few tracks with some musical legends was such an honor. Blake Shelton is a country music powerhouse and sharing ‘Out in the Middle’ with him, a song that represents our Southern roots and country pride, is absolutely unreal.”

Added Blake: “I’ve always been a big fan of Zac as an artist and especially as a songwriter. This song in particular really resonated with me. It reminds me of where I was raised and where I come from — out in the middle!”

Pre-orders for the deluxe version of The Comeback start July 15.

Members of BTS announce indefinite hiatus to focus on their solo careers

BTS’s band members—who include RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook—announced they are taking a hiatus in a video posted to social media on June 14.  The K-pop stars didn’t note how long the hiatus will last, but expressed their desire to explore solo projects.

The band said: “.. BTS was different from other groups, but the problem with K-pop and the whole idol system is that they don’t give you time to mature. You have to keep producing music and keep doing something.  We can’t help but think of our fans no matter what, we want to be the kind of artists that are remembered by our fans. I think now we’re starting to think about what kind of artists we each want to be remembered by our fansI think that’s why we’re going through a rough patch right now, we’re trying to find our identity and that’s an exhausting and long process.”

As other members teared up as they discussed the break, RM said: “I want BTS to go on for a long time. We have to go through this to do that. I want it to last long and for BTS to last long, I think I have to retain who I am.”

Jungkook said: “We’re each going to take some time to have fun and experience lots of things. We promise we will return someday, even more mature than we are now.  There’s so much more to come.”

BTS started forming in 2010 after Big Hit Entertainment founder Bang Si-hyuk recruited RM followed by Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, with the band officially debuting in 2013. BTS experienced a surge of popularity in 2015 and had become a global phenomenon by 2017, earning two Grammy nominations, six no. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and an ARMY of fans.

Bear market hits Wall Street as Dow Jones tumbles 876 points, stocks, bonds, crypto dive

Wall Street plunged into what’s called a bear market on Monday, as investors grew increasingly fearful about a fragile economy and rising interest rates. The S&P 500 was more than 20% below its record set early this year.

The Dow (INDU) sank 876 points or 2.8%. The Nasdaq was down by 4.7% and has tumbled more than 10% in the past two trading sessions.

On Wall Street, the S&P 500 fell 151.23 points to 3,749.63 and dropped 21.8% below its record set early this year to put it into what investors call a bear market.  Prices fell worldwide for everything from bonds to bitcoin, and some of the sharpest drops hit what had been big winners of the easier low-rate era, such as high-growth technology stocks and other former darlings of investors. Tesla slumped 7.1%, and Amazon dropped 5.5%. GameStop tumbled 8.4%.

Some of the biggest hits came for cryptocurrencies, which soared early in the pandemic. Bitcoin dropped more than 14% from a day earlier and dropped below $23,400, putting it back to where it was in late 2020 and down from a peak of $68,990 late last year.
