Metallica announce third concert to benefit their ‘All Within My Hands’ Foundation

Metallica’s third concert benefiting their All Within My Hands foundation (AWMH) will be held on December 16, 2022 in Los Angeles, California. All Within My Hands was established by the members and management of Metallica in 2017 as a means to invest in the people and places that have supported the band. The foundation is focused on supporting sustainable communities through workforce education, the fight against hunger, and other critical local services.

Metallica released the following statement: “We’re excited to announce the date of our third Helping Hands Concert & Auction as we invite you to join us in Los Angeles on December 16, 2022, for a very special show benefiting All Within My Hands. It has been a few years since we connected in person for this unique event, so we want to get on your calendar now! We’re excited to share all the amazing things the Foundation has accomplished and we are inspired to look toward the future. Of course, we’ll cap it all off with a full night of live music! We hope you will join us for the celebration; keep watching this site and our socials for more details coming soon.”

All expenses of the Foundation are covered by the band, the board, and a few special friends so that 100% of donations go to the organizations it supports. AWMH is a registered non-profit organization.

ANTHRAX cancels European tour due to rising costs and logistical issues

Anthrax has cancelled their upcoming European tour due to logistical issues and rising costs. The band states their U.K. tour dates are still on, and that any European ticket holders can be refunded at their point of purchase.

The band wrote on social media: “Sadly due to ongoing logistical issues and 2022 costs that are out of our control, we have no other option but to cancel the European leg of our upcoming 2022 tour. We will however be coming to the UK as scheduled. Tickets can be refunded at point of purchase.”

Anthrax will still play some shows in the U.K., with Municipal Waste and Sworn Enemy serving as support. The band just finished a U.S. tour with Black Label Society and Hatebreed, but were forced to cancel shows during that slate of dates due to a variety of health and safety issues. The band has been celebrating their 40th anniversary this year and the tour was supposed to be an extension of that celebration.

5 Seconds of Summer announce global livestream event titled “The Feeling of Falling Upwards”

5 Seconds of Summer have announced that they will be playing a special global livestream entitled “The Feeling of Falling Upwards” from the world-famous Royal Albert Hall in London. The special event, set to take place on Thursday, September 22nd, will celebrate the release of the band’s new album ‘5SOS5’ the following day. It will feature the group performing a set of reimagined versions of songs from their catalogue along with brand-new tracks off the new album, accompanied by an orchestra and choir.

The band shared: “To celebrate the release of our 5th studio album, ‘5SOS5’ we really wanted to do something that could involve all our fans around the world. That’s where the idea was born. For this special show, we will perform a set of reimagined songs from our career plus brand-new tracks off the new album, accompanied by an orchestra and choir. This will be a show like nothing we have ever done before and what’s so special is we actually busked just outside the Royal Albert Hall back in 2013 to a few ‘day one’ fans! To now play a show there, at one of the most iconic venues in the world is a really unique moment and one we felt was the perfect way to commemorate the new album. We can’t wait to share this night with you and are so grateful to still be taking this journey with every single one of you.”

The live performance will be streamed worldwide at 8.30pm London-time (BST) and rebroadcast three times. Following that, the show will be available to watch On Demand for another 3 days. Tickets, which are on sale now via Dreamstage, grant access to the livestream, all rebroadcasts, and to the three-day On Demand viewing period.

Demi Lovato earns eighth Top 10 album on Billboard 200 with ‘HOLY FVCK’

Demi Lovato’s ‘Holy Fvck’, their eighth album, debuted at No 1 on both the Top Rock and Alternative albums chart, and it became their eighth consecutive Top 10 debut on the Billboard 200 chart, coming in at No 7. It also hit the No 4 spot on the Top Album Sales Chart. Holy Fvck also debuted overseas at No 7 on the UK album chart, marking Demi‘s fifth consecutive Top 10 debut in the UK.

Demi shared in a statement: “When making HOLY FVCK, I wanted to explore the dichotomy between ideas and feelings we all face: good & bad, holy & evil and anger & love. The album is a deeply personal journey that begins with pain and anger and concludes with me reclaiming my power. It gave me the freedom to express myself in ways I didn’t know were possible and find joy I’d been missing when making music. It’s cathartic and grounded, yet exhilarating and a hell of a good time. I don’t know where I’ll be in life in a year, or in five or 10 years – but what I do know is that this record is exactly where I am now, and I am damn proud of it. I hope everyone who listens is too.”

Demi is currently in Brazil where they’ll be performing four dates on the Holy Fvck Tour, then moves on to Colombia, Argentina and Chile before heading back to North America to tour across the country.
