The Weeknd has announced that his ‘Live At SoFi Stadium’ concert special will debut on HBO Max on February 25. The artist posted the concert poster on his social media accounts, which featured his masked persona clutching a microphone in one hand and raising his other against the blood orange backdrop along with the caption: “Live at Sofi coming to @HBO. February/25 @HBOMax”
The Weeknd originally scheduled 2 back-to-back dates at the Inglewood venue for his ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ Tour in September, but was forced to cancel his second show in the beginning of his set after he lost his voice. He then rescheduled the shortened show to November, adding a second SoFi Stadium date during Thanksgiving weekend.
The Weeknd is also starring in the upcoming series The Idol, which he co-wrote with ‘Euphoria’ creator Sam Levinson. The series, co-starring Lily-Rose Depp, follows a female pop singer who sparks a romance with an enigmatic LA club owner who doubles as a leader of a secret cult. The show also features Troye Sivan, BLACKPINK‘s Jennie, and Mike Dean.
