Ghost hitting the road with ‘Re-Imperatour USA’ tour this summer

Ghost will launch its new North American tour this summer, dubbed “Re-Imperatour USA.”  The band is set to kick off the new run of dates in Concord, CA, on August 2, touring across the country until September 11 before wrapping up at LA’s Kia Forum. Ghost will be joined on the dates by special guest Amon Amarth.

The “Re-Imperatour USA” tour comes shortly after Ghost held its first-ever pop-up event at LA’s Whisky A Go Go venue earlier this month. “Metal Myths Presents: Ghost – Reverence & Resurrection” paid tribute to the classic 1969 era of Ghost, a band that didn’t actually form until almost four decades later. The exhibit featured artifacts that had never been publicly displayed before, including the band’s 1960 costumes and ghoul masks, rare magazine covers, and more from a treasure trove of ephemera. Ghost also recently shared a new version of its track “Spillways,” featuring guest vocals from Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott. The new take on the song featured in Chapter 15 of Ghost’s long-running series of webisodes.

Tickets for the 27-date tour are available now. For more details and to purchase, visit Ticketmaster.

Pink responds after being accused of “shading” Christina Aguilera

Pink drew controversy over the weekend stemming from negative remarks she made about the making of the 2001 music video for “Lady Marmalade,” with many accusing the singer of “shading” co-star Christina Aguilera and reigniting their years-long feud. The drama began after Pink ranked “Lady Marmalade” in last place on a list 12 of her “most iconic music videos” in an interview with BuzzFeed UK, sharing, “It wasn’t very fun to make. I’m all about fun and it was like, a lot of fuss, and there were some personalities.” Pink added, “[Lil] Kim and Mýa were nice” referring to her and Christina’s two other collaborators on the song.

Now, Pink is responding on Twitter, writing: “Y’all are nuts … Xtina had s–t to do with who was on that song.  If you don’t know by now- I’m not “shading” someone by telling it over and over and over what actually happened. I’m zero percent interested in your f***ing drama. If you haven’t noticed- I’m a little busy selling…And by selling- I mean tickets and albums and bake sales and s–t.” Then in response to a fan’s criticism, Pink tweeted: “Also- I kissed xtinas mouth. I don’t need to kiss her a**.”

Both Christina and Pink have spoken publicly about their past feud, which began  more than 20 years ago over the recording of “Lady Marmalade.” In 2009, Pink said a record executive declared, “What’s the high part? What’s the most singing part? Christina’s going to take that part. I stood up, and I said ‘Hi. How are you? So nice of you to introduce yourself. I’m Pink. She will not be taking that part. I think that’s what the f–king meeting’s about.’”  However, in 2016, the two singers put their differences aside when they worked together on NBC’s ‘The Voice,’ during which Pink served as an advisor to Christina’s team. Pink said in 2017: “We made up on The Voice, because I hadn’t seen her in years and years and years and we became moms. We grew up and we hugged it out.”

Selena Gomez details weight gain due to medications, slams online bullying

Selena Gomez posted a message to fans this week to address online bullying due to recent changes in her appearance. Gomez detailed that her weight gain is due to medication for lupus, which she announced she was diagnosed with in 2015. Gomez underwent a kidney transplant in 2017, and has undergone chemotherapy as well.

In a TikTok livestream, Gomez explained how medication is necessary to control her condition, and its side affects: “I tend to hold a lot of water weight, and that happens very normally. When I’m off of it, I tend to lose weight. I just wanted to say and encourage anyone out there who feels any sort of shame for exactly what they’re going through, and no one knows the real story … I just want people to know that you’re beautiful and you’re wonderful. Yeah, we have days where maybe we feel like shit, but I would much rather be healthy and take care of myself. And my medications are important, and I believe they are what helps me.”  Gomez added:  “I just wanted to tell you I love you guys, and thanks for supporting me and understanding … And if not, go away.”

Gomez has had to respond to critics many times in the past; she shared on the ‘Giving Back Generation’ podcast in 2019: “It’s the medication I have to take for the rest of my life — it depends on even the month, to be honest. So for me, I really noticed when people started attacking me for that. And in reality, that’s just my truth. I fluctuate. It depends on what’s happening in my life.”  And on social media last year, Gomez proclaimed: “I don’t care about my weight, because people b**ch about it anyway. ‘You’re too small,’ ‘you’re too big,’ ‘that doesn’t fit.’ B**ch, I am perfect the way I am.”

Paul Rudd Shares His Choice for the Marvel Superhero With the ‘Lamest Powers’

During a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Paul Rudd played a round of “Plead the Fifth,” where host Cohen tried to get him to shade his co-stars.

When asked “Which of the Marvel superheroes has the lamest powers… and is it Hawkeye?” Cohen quipped, referencing Jeremy Renner’s arrow-slinging vigilante.

Rudd laughed at the question before agreeing, saying, “Yeah, it’s totally Hawkeye. I mean, he shoots arrows, come on. And I thought talking to ants was weird.”

Black Panther Actor Letitia Wright Retract Her Comments About “Black Panther 3” Being “Already In The Works”

A month ago, Marvel Actor Letitia Wright was questioned on the Golden Globes red carpet when fans asked if they should expect a part 3 to the Black Panther sequel. She responded: “I think it’s already in the works. … It’s gonna take a while, but really excited for you guys to see that.”

Fans interpreted her answer meant that Black Panther 3 had been greenlit and was on the way. Wright slightly retracted her response at the Newport Beach Film Festival UK Honours event on Thursday night.

“What I tried to say, maybe I didn’t do it clearly enough, to clarify, there is always the hope that you would have another film, especially in a franchise. If there is to be another film, which I hope there will be, I think there will be; it takes time to make it; you have to go through the script process”
