Rob Zombie to reissue soundtrack to “White Zombie”

Rob Zombie is working on his new ‘Rob Zombie Presents’ reissue series, and has chosen the soundtrack to the 1932 horror film White Zombie as his first reissue in his series. White Zombie starred Bela Lugosi, and is considered to be the first-ever feature length zombie film. It was largely filmed on the Universal Studios lot using props from other horror movies at the time.

The film White Zombie is also where Zombie’s former band, White Zombie, got their name from in the mid 1980s. Says Zombie: “I have always been a huge fan of movie soundtracks, so I jumped at the opportunity to work with Waxwork on this project.  I can’t wait to release these albums. So many of these films are greatly underappreciated and they all contain such great music. So to be able to release these deluxe packages is a dream come true.”

Jonas Brothers share their video for ‘Waffle House’

The Jonas Brothers have shared the new music video for their song, “Waffle House,” which was filmed during their recent visit to London.  “Waffle House” is set to appear on the Jonas Brothers’ upcoming sixth record, The Album, set to arrive this month. The visual opens with Joe Jonas in an underground club in the city before he goes and joins his brothers in the streets, and eventually follows them on stage at their recent sold-out gig at the iconic Royal Albert Hall.

Nick told Variety about his love for ‘Waffle House’: “It was a last-minute addition. At first, it was a bit of a head-scratcher, but the more I listened to it, the more I loved it. I think it really encapsulates a moment in time for us. Musically it taps into some of my favorites: Doobie Brothers and Bee Gees, and others from that era. It’s a really, really, fun song. We can’t wait to play it live.”

Ed Sheeran announces intimate theater leg of “The Subtract Tour”

Ed Sheeran announced a very special run of dates on his – Tour (pronounced Subtract Tour), set to take place in theaters and auditoriums in 14 cities across North America. These intimate performances — which kick off at the Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, FL, on May 19th, and wrap up at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA, on September 22nd — coincide with the massive stadium shows of Sheeran’s previously announced Mathematics Tour. Singer-songwriter Ben Kweller will serve as support on most dates.

The newly announced tour supports Sheeran’s forthcoming new album Subtract, set for release on May 5th.  Ed wrote and recorded the fourteen-track record with Aaron Dessner of The National in February last year; the album’s opening track “Boat” was shared last week, following the release of the LP’s lead single “Eyes Closed,” which marked Sheeran’s 14th No. 1 in the UK.

Sheeran is using Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan technology for his The Subtract Tour. The Verified Fan on sale is set to begin on Tuesday, May 2nd at 10 am local venue time.
