CBS announced that U2 will make history with the first performance broadcast from Las Vegas’ Sphere during the 66th GRAMMY Awards on Feb. 4. The televised segment will bring the band’s acclaimed ‘U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere’ production to a global audience, and U2 will also offer a special award presentation during the telecast.
The legendary rock band’s Sphere residency kicked-off last September, and after nine sold-out performances, the series was extended to a total of 40 engagements running through March. U2 also released “Atomic City” to coincide with the event at the Sphere, the Venetian Resort’s newest venue which features a 160,000-square-foot wraparound interior LED display.
U2’s broadcast performance will join the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, Travis Scott, Billie Eilish and Billy Joel, who just announced his first new music will be released in over a decade. The 66th annual ceremony will once again be hosted by Trevor Noah and will make its return to L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena. The Grammy Awards telecast live from L.A. on Feb. 4 between 8:00-11:30 p.m. ET/5:00-8:30 p.m. PT on the CBS Television Network. It will also stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.
