Take a listen to Kenny Chesney’s ‘Thinkin’ Bout’ from upcoming LP ‘BORN’

Kenny Chesney recently shared his new song ‘Thinking’ Bout’, off his fifteen-song album ‘BORN’, set to drop on March 29.  Chesney previously shared the tracks “Take Her Home” and “Just To Say We Did” off BORN.

Chesney spoke at length about “Thinkin’ Bout”: “The hardest part of letting go is actually letting go. All that chemistry, all that intimacy, all that doesn’t need to be said is such a big thing… Whatever’s wrong, obviously it’s not gonna change. But it gets late, you get thinking – and next thing you know, you’re tumbling back into something that just can’t be. I love this song, because it gets into that space where you’re thinking about knowing you shouldn’t do this, shouldn’t think about that person, and that’s when maybe the letting go can really start to happen no matter how good it feels or how much you make each other laugh.”

Fans who purchase tickets to Chesney’s current ‘Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour’ will receive an email with a link to buy the special ‘Born Tour Edition’ with three extra live tracks.  For tickets, head here.

See Jennifer Lopez in the video for ‘Rebound’

Jennifer Lopez has shared her video for the song “Rebound”, which depicts Lopez in an abusive relationship with a partner, played by dancer Gilbert Saldivar.

The footage shown in the video originally appeared in This is Me…Now: A Love Story, the narrative film Lopez released alongside her album This is Me…Now . The projects are inspired by Lopez’s past relationships and her love story with her husband, actor Ben Affleck.

In a recent interview with Variety, Lopez said the video for ‘Rebound’ was inspired by her own experience, though she did not name who the abusive partner was: “the idea of the glass house was about how we get into these toxic relationships. You have trauma from your past. You have these patterns you haven’t figured out yet. And you get into these relationships where you compromise yourself in ways you never thought you would. Or you allow people to treat you in ways that you never thought you would. And that certainly has happened to me.”

In support of all her recent projects, Lopez will launch the This is Me…Now tour on June 26 in Orlando, Fla. Take a look at the video for ‘Rebound’ – here.

Suspect captured in fatal shooting of New Mexico State Police officer

Following a two-day manhunt a suspect is in custody for the murder of a New Mexico State Police officer, who was shot and killed on a highway near Tucumcari, New Mexico last week.  Officer Justin Hare, 35, was shot without warning around 5 a.m. local time Friday morning when he responded to a call of a driver with a flat tire on Interstate 40 near milepost 318, state police previously said. Hare died after being transported to a local hospital.

New Mexico state police posted Sunday on social media that the suspect, 32-year-old Jaremy Smith of South Carolina, was captured following an officer-involved shooting on Sunday with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office. The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office did not provide further details. Smith has a criminal history in South Carolina, including allegations of hostage taking, burglary and armed robbery; he also has spent time in Albuquerque. The vehicle with the flat tire belonged to a paramedic in Marion County, South Carolina, 52-year-old Phenesia Machado-Fore, who was found murdered Friday after she was reported missing from the area. Smith is a person of interest in the South Carolina case as well.

New Mexico State Police Chief Troy Weisler said Smith approached the passenger side of Hare’s patrol vehicle. After a short conversation in which Hare offered him a ride to town, Smith allegedly opened fire without warning; he then allegedly walked to the driver’s side, opened fire on the officer again and pushed him to its passenger side, got in the patrol vehicle and drove off.  Colleagues were alerted to Hare’s situation after the officer did not respond to radio traffic, and later appeared to have been able to depress a panic button common on police radios.  A responding officer saw Hare’s patrol vehicle traveling in the opposite direction, but by the time the officer reached the vehicle,it had crashed on an interstate frontage road and was abandoned. Hare was found along the same frontage road, where he was taken to a hospital. The suspect had vanished.
