Carlos Alcaraz defeated Alexander Zverev 6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2 on Sunday, coming back from behind in the four hour and 19 minute match in Paris to win his first French Open title, and his third Grand Slam title. Alcaraz is now 3-0 in Grand Slam finals.

Alcaraz said at the trophy presentation at Roland Garros: “The last month we were struggling a lot with an [arm] injury and coming back. I didn’t feel well in Madrid. I know everyone in my team is giving their heart just to make me grow up as a player and a person.”

In the new edition of ATP Tour singles rankings released Monday, Alcaraz, the former No. 3 player in the world, now rises to the No. 2 spot behind No. 1 Jannik Sinner of Italy; while Zverev will stay at No. 4.

See Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni in the trailer for the film adaptation of ‘It Ends With Us’

The first trailer for It Ends With Us, based on the Colleen Hoover novel of the same name, has been released offering fans a first look at Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni in the title roles. The sneak peek is set to the Taylor Swift song “My Tears Ricochet,” which appears on the singer’s 2020 album, Folklore.

Blake Lively stars as Lily Bloom, who opens a flower shop with her friend Allysa (Jenny Slate).  Soon after, Allysa’s brother Ryle (Justin Baldoni) enters the picture, and the pair begin a whirlwind relationship.  Bloom is described as “a woman who overcomes a traumatic childhood to embark on a new life in Boston and chase a lifelong dream of opening her own business.”

The film synopsis reads: “A chance meeting with charming neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid (Baldoni) sparks an intense connection, but as the two fall deeply in love, Lily begins to see sides of Ryle that remind her of her parents’ relationship. When Lily’s first love, Atlas Corrigan (Sklenar), suddenly reenters her life, her relationship with Ryle is upended, and Lily realizes she must learn to rely on her own strength to make an impossible choice for her future.”

The 2016 novel ‘It Ends With Us’ took TikTok by storm in 2021, and is loosely based on Hoover’s own childhood and centers on themes of domestic abuse. Hoover said in an Instagram video shared in January 2023: “I just want everyone to know how appreciative I am to my mother, who got us out of a scary situation when I was a little girl and brought us here to this house which doesn’t look like much, but this house was full of love and joy. Thank you, Mom, for making that very difficult decision. This house holds nothing but wonderful memories for me .. We are now discussing a movie that’s made from a book that was loosely inspired by my mother. It’s bittersweet. So many people have had to go through that. But to know that my mom’s decision has helped so many people get out of that… I love you, Mom.”

It Ends With Us opens in theaters Aug. 9; see the trailer: here.

Camila Cabello drops video for ‘He Knows’ featuring Lil Nas X

Camila Cabello dropped the official video for “He Knows” featuring Lil Nas X. Directed by Onda (Big Sean, Dukwrth, JID/J Cole), the clip features ‘a provocative dancefloor battle between friends vying for the attention of a mutual love interest.’ Camila shares that Lil Nas X is a “low-key comedian. He was just making me laugh so hard. It makes sense that he is successful because he has pushed the culture forward in so many ways.”

Cabello recently told Rolling Stone of her new album: “This is the best project I’ve ever made, and I have never been so proud of a body of work. It’s just such a world. My favorite albums are when I really get to live in a lyric or live in an aesthetic of an album.”

Regarding the video for ‘He Knows,’ Camila said: “I’ve just never seen that in a video before. I just loved the idea of us fighting over this fluid guy, who we don’t know which way he’s leaning. We both would have so much fun with this and have so much fun with the video, so we got to make it a reality … we had this stunt coordinator at rehearsals. It’s always hard to even fake fight with your friends because you’re like, ‘Oh, I got to get into my acting bag, and I might kind of do some damage. And he’s tall as hell, so even getting on his shoulder took me a couple of times. But it was fun.”

“He Knows’ is taken off Camila’s new album, C,XOXO,   To celebrate the release of the album, Cabello is set to perform at this year’s Rock In Rio Lisboa on June 23rd, and the UK’s famed Glastonbury Festival on June 26th.
