Victoria Beckham to star in new docuseries for Netflix

Victoria Beckham will star in a new docuseries for Netflix, sharing a behind-the-scenes look at her fashion and beauty brands. Nicola Howson, who produced Beckham (the docuseries about Beckham’s husband, soccer star David Beckham) and Julia Nottingham, (‘Pamela: A Love Story’) will produce the series. Netflix has yet to announce a premiere date.

The as yet untitled docuseries will follow Victoria’s journey from Spice Girls superstardom in the ‘90s to modern fashion maven: “Her Posh Spice days may be behind her, but today Beckham is on a journey to build a fashion empire — and now, fans will be able to see the story behind it all.”

The docuseries was announced during a Netflix panel at Edinburgh TV festival; the new series will explore Beckham’s success and includes her perspective, as well as the perspectives of those in her inner circle, with an official synopsis reading: “The upcoming doc promises to get up close and personal with the former pop star as she juggles her business and family life.”

Beckham wrote on Instagram when she turned 50 earlier this year: “I believe that you can be many things. A pop star, a mother, a wife, a designer,” and also said that her secret was to always push herself to “dream bigger” and offer herself her own support – “everyone else will follow.”
