Madonna to release long-rumored ‘Veronica Electronica’

Madonna has announced the release of her long-rumored album, ‘Veronica Electronica’, due out July 25th. Additionally, the fan-favorite deep cut “Skin (The Collaboration Remix Edit)” from Veronica Electronica is available now.

The project was originally envisioned by Madonna back in 1998 as an eight-track companion to ‘Ray Of Light’, her seventh studio album. Described as a ‘remix LP,’ Veronica Electronica was shelved following the success of Ray of Light, which hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and went on to sell over 16 million copies globally, in addition to winning four Grammy Awards – including best pop album. Ray of Light included the hit songs “Frozen,” the title track, “The Power of Good-Bye” and “Nothing Really Matters”.

Veronica Electronica will feature rare and unreleased remixes of the songs in the ‘Ray Of Light’ tracklist, including club versions from the late Peter Rauhofer, producer William Orbit, Sasha, BT, and Victor Calderone. It also features an original demo of ‘Gone, Gone, Gone’, a previously unreleased recording produced by Madonna and Rick Nowels.

The album will also be made available on a silver vinyl that includes an exclusive silver mylar lithograph. The latter comes as an extension of Madonna’s ‘Silver Collection’ – a series that sees her re-share parts of her catalogue as collectable, limited-edition vinyl reissues.

Pres. Trump slams ‘past supporters’ over the release of Jeffrey Epstein files

President Donald Trump on Wednesday sharply criticized Republicans he dubbed his ‘past supporters’ who continue to demand the release of the so-called Jeffery Epstein files, calling them “weaklings” whose support he does not want. In a lengthy Truth Social post, Trump admonished those who continue to press for more information about documents related to Epstein, dismissing the uproar over the Epstein files as a “scam” perpetuated by Democrats and suggested he no longer welcomed his backers who have called for more transparency around the documents.

Trump wrote in a scathing post on Truth Social: “Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bulls‑‑‑,’ hook, line, and sinker. They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years. I have had more success in 6 months than perhaps any President in our Country’s history, and all these people want to talk about, with strong prodding by the Fake News and the success starved Dems, is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!”

The Justice Department published a memo last month which stated there was no evidence of an “incriminating ‘client list,’” prompting criticism directed at Attorney General Pam Bondi over her handling of the case. The Justice Department and FBI issued in a joint memo that Epstein did not have a client list and confirmed he died by suicide in his New York City jail cell in 2019. Epstein’s associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, has been convicted of sex trafficking.

However several Republican members of Congress and other prominent Trump supporters are asking for transparency over the files. House Speaker Mike Johnson said during an interview with conservative commentator Benny Johnson: “I’m for transparency. It’s a very delicate subject but we should put everything out there and let the people decide,” and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., said last week in a post on X that the DOJ should “release the Epstein client list.”

Trump has expressed frustration over the Epstein matter, stating on Tuesday: “I don’t understand it, why they would be so interested. He’s been dead for a long time. He was never a big factor in terms of life. I don’t understand what the interest and what the fascination is. I really don’t. And the credible information has been given.”

Epstein was accused in several cases of sex trafficking young girls, and ran in high-powered circles with figures that included Trump, former President Clinton, Britain’s Prince Andrew and a number of other celebrities and ultra-wealthy individuals.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. fires two top aides at Department of Health and Human Services

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has fired two of his top aides at the Department of Health and Human Services, per CNN News. Neither Flick nor Anderson immediately responded to requests for comment.

Heather Flick Melanson, Kennedy’s chief of staff, and Hannah Anderson, deputy chief of staff of policy, were dismissed after only a few months on the job. No reason was given for the firings, though a statement provided by an HHS spokesperson said that Kennedy “has every right to make personnel decisions. Secretary Kennedy has made a leadership change within the Immediate Office of the Secretary. Effective immediately, Matt Buckham will serve as Acting Chief of Staff.  He [Buckham] brings valuable experience in personnel strategy and organizational management to this new role. Secretary Kennedy thanks the outgoing leadership for their service and looks forward to working closely with Mr. Buckham as the Department continues advancing its mission to Make America Healthy Again.”

Flick Melanson had served at HHS during President Donald Trump’s first term, first as its acting general counsel and then as acting secretary for administration and a senior adviser to then-HHS Secretary Alex Azar. Anderson joined HHS after stints on Capitol Hill as a GOP staffer, including as health policy adviser to Republicans on the Senate’s main health committee. More recently, she headed up health care issues at the Trump-aligned America First Policy Institute think tank.  Both Anderson and Flick Melanson had led Kennedy’s immediate office alongside two other aides, senior counselor Stefanie Spear and executive secretary Cortney McCormick. Spear is a longtime aide to Kennedy.

The new firings come after others have left the department in recent weeks, including Scott Rowell, who had served as the deputy chief of staff for operations. Rowell previously worked as a top-ranking HHS official during the first Trump administration.

Oakmont Country Club bans Wyndham Clark after damaging locker during 2025 U.S. Open

Wyndham Clark has been suspended from the Oakmont Country Club after the golfer damaged a locker during the 2025 U.S. Open last month.

Clark – the 2023 U.S. Open winner at Los Angeles Country Club — made a bogey on the final hole of the second round to miss the cut at this year’s U.S. Open at Oakmont by one stroke. He smashed his locker in frustration after missing the cut, but later apologized and offered to pay for the damage (which was shown in photos posted on social media, seen here). Oakmont Country Club, which is located about 15 miles outside Pittsburgh, is scheduled to host the U.S. Open again in 2033.

In a letter sent to members this week obtained by Golf Digest, Oakmont Country Club president John Lynch said the club reached its decision after multiple discussions with the United States Golf Association and the club’s board. The letter read: “Several of you have inquired about the situation involving Wyndham Clark and the steps being taken in response to his recent behavior. Following multiple discussions with the USGA and the OCC Board, a decision has been made that Mr. Clark will no longer be permitted on OCC property. This decision will remain in effect unless formally reconsidered and approved by the Board. Reinstatement would be contingent upon Mr. Clark fulfilling a number of specific conditions, including full repayment for damages, a meaningful contribution to a charity of the Board’s choosing, and the successful completion of counseling and/or anger management sessions. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”

After the incident at this year’s U.S. Open, Clark apologized for his behavior while attending the Travelers Championship, telling reporters: “I’ve had a lot of highs and lows in my career, especially this year some lows. I made a mistake that I deeply regret. I’m very sorry for what happened. But I’d also like to move on, not only for myself but for Oakmont, for the USGA, and kind of focus on the rest of the year and things that come up.”

The incident at OCC was again brought up last week ahead of the Genesis Scottish Open, with Clark calling it “a mistake in a moment of rage. Yeah, I mean, I made a mistake in a moment of rage with, you know, a bad year and everything coming together and it just was more than anything a good wake-up call for me to say, ‘Hey, you know what, let’s get back on track and things aren’t that bad.’ I live a great life and I’m not that far off from playing good golf, so I feel like I’ve turned a page and we’re now maybe on the right track of playing some good golf.”

At the PGA Championship in May, Clark threw his driver and damaged a sign near the tee box that featured one of his most prominent sponsors. He said in a statement after that event: “as professionals, we are expected to remain professional even when frustrated and I unfortunately let my emotions get the best of me. My actions were uncalled for and completely inappropriate, making it clear that I have things I need to work on. I promise to better the way I handle my frustrations on the course going forward, and hope you all can forgive me in due time.”

Three-time All-Star Bradley Beal reaches buyout with Suns, will sign 2-year deal with LA Clippers

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Bradley Beal has officially completed a contract buyout with the Phoenix Suns and is expected to sign a two-year, $11 million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers. The deal will include a player option for the 2026-2027 season, which would make Beal one of the top players available in free agency next year.

Beal, 32, had a no-trade clause on his previous contract and was set to make over $53 million during the 2025-26 season. The three-time NBA All-Star had a whopping $57 million player option for the 2026-27 campaign before he completed the buyout, where he will give up roughly $13.9 million over the life of his contract (NBA teams are only allowed to stretch 15% of the current salary cap at a time).

Beal appeared in 53 games and averaged 17.0 points, 3.7 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game during his second season with the Suns. The Clippers offered Beal up to $5.3 million in salary this upcoming season; they also recently signed center Brook Lopez, and were involved in a three-team deal involving the Utah Jazz that saw Norman Powell go to the Miami Heat, and John Collins come to Los Angeles.

Margot Price shares new video from upcoming album ‘Hard Headed Woman’

Margo Price will drop her new album, Hard Headed Woman, arriving August 29th. The country singer-songwriter also shared the new song “Don’t Let the Bastards Get You Down.”

Hard Headed Woman follows Price’s celebrated 2023 release Strays, and sees her reuniting with producer Matt Ross-Spang. The album features duets with Tyler Childers and Jesse Welles and was recorded in Nashville, where she’s resided for over 20 years — she bills the project as “a manifesto, a tribute to both a city and a genre, a defiant cry for individuality, and a deep exploration of America. I always hope to do like Johnny Cash did, which is speak up for the common man and woman. But there have been so many threats and anger and vitriol over the years, when I am only coming from a place of love. So I made the decision to rebuild everything from the ground up. I hope this album inspires people to be fearless and take chances and just be unabashedly themselves, in a culture that tries as hard as it can to beat us into all being the same.”

“Don’t Let the Bastards Get You Down” was co-written by Jeremy Ivey, Kris Kristofferson, and Rodney Crowell and comes alongside a music video with shots of an audience throwing bottles at Price as she performs at a dive bar, and then whirling through town on four-wheeler, before getting it polished up at a car wash.
