Dolly Parton joins Mötley Crüe for remake of their classic ballad ‘Home Sweet Home’

Mötley Crüe have teamed up with country music legend Dolly Parton for reimagined version of their power ballad “Home Sweet Home“.

Mötley Crüe shared in a joint statement: “‘Home Sweet Home’ was first released in 1985 as a single from our Theatre Of Pain album. For an icon like Dolly Parton to sing on a song that has not only meant so much to us but to all the fans through the years, is a career high that means a lot to us. We couldn’t be happier to celebrate the 40th anniversary of ‘Home Sweet Home’ in this special way, and we’re excited to share this version of the song with all the Dolly and Motley fans around the world.”

A portion of proceeds from Mötley Crüe and Parton’s new “Home Sweet Home” will benefit Covenant House, a nonprofit organization that provides safe shelter, meals, hope and more to youth who are experiencing homelessness.  The band added: “that we were able to unite with Dolly to raise awareness for homeless youth and the amazing work of Covenant House, which provides them safe housing and care, makes it even more special. We hope you’ll enjoy ‘Home Sweet Home’ featuring Dolly Parton as much as Dolly and we enjoyed creating it.”

Dolly Parton also shared, “It was an honor and a joy working in the studio on Mötley Crüe’s 40th Anniversary re-release of ‘Home Sweet Home’. I was so pleased that they would ask me to sing on such a classic.”

The new version of ‘Home Sweet Home’ is included on Mötley Crüe’s previously-announced singles collection “From The Beginning”, set to drop on September 12, 2025 — the same day the band kicks off their Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM.  The From the Beginning collection spans four decades, with the compilation tracing the band’s storied career from their start on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles.  It includes the hit songs “Kickstart My Heart,” “Dr. Feelgood,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” and “Shout at the Devil,” featuring 19 tracks – with the vinyl expanded to include “Afraid” and last year’s “Canceled.”

In addition, Tyla shared the video for ‘Bliss,’ writing on InstagramFor the drama, for the plot… ‘Bliss’ music video out now.”. The video opens with Tyla standing in an apparent desert, with an explosion in the background.

Tyla shares of her success:  “I’ve changed a lot in a short amount of time because I was kind of forced to – with how fast I had to adapt to everything. Pres Trump meets with E.U.’s von der Leyen, agrees to lower tariffs to 15%

On Sunday, President Donald Trump announced that the United States and the European Union (E.U.) had finalized a trade agreement that lowers tariffs to 15%, resolving months of trade-related uncertainty with the U.S.’s top trading ally. This new rate marks a significant decrease from the 30% tariff Trump threatened to impose on July 12, as well as the 20% he mentioned back in April.

This new arrangement bears strong resemblance to a deal struck with Japan earlier in the week, which also resulted in a 15% import tax—lower than what had previously been suggested by the former president.

During the announcement, Trump stated that the EU had agreed not to place tariffs on American goods. Standing alongside Trump, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen emphasized that the agreement would foster “stability and predictability”—two elements she said are critical for businesses operating on both sides of the Atlantic.

Negotiations had been ongoing for weeks between EU officials and top U.S. trade figures, including Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer. Talks were reportedly nearing completion when Trump abruptly posted on Truth Social, declaring a plan to raise tariffs to 30%.

Following Trump’s surprise statement, von der Leyen warned that such a steep increase would severely disrupt critical transatlantic supply chains, causing harm to industries, consumers, and even healthcare sectors on both continents. The EU reaffirmed its commitment to securing a deal before the self-imposed August 1 deadline. At the same time, officials continued crafting a retaliatory tariff list targeting around $100 billion worth of American goods in case negotiations fell through.

The EU, made up of 27 member nations, remains the United States’ largest source of imported goods. In 2024, the U.S. imported roughly $605 billion worth of goods from the bloc—more than it brought in from Mexico, Canada, or China. Leading those imports were pharmaceutical products, especially from Ireland, followed by automobiles, aircraft, and industrial equipment from countries like Germany and France.
