Lainey Wilson shares the video for ‘Can’t Sit Still’

Country star Lainey Wilson has kicked off a fresh chapter in her career with the release of a brand-new single, “Can’t Sit Still.” The track marks her first new music since her latest album, Whirlwind, and  arrives alongside a music video featuring Wilson in a bold new style – sporting head-to-toe black leather looks that match the song’s edgy attitude.

The energetic song was co-written by Wilson alongside Trannie Anderson, Aslan Freeman, and Dallas Wilson, and captures the spirit of someone who refuses to slow down and insists on living life their own way. Wilson has said that even as a kid in school she struggled to stay in her seat, sometimes sitting on her hands to keep from jumping up to dance. That restless streak shows up in the lyrics, where she compares herself to “an outside dog on an inside leash” and “a raindrop running down a cracked windshield.”

The theme of constant motion mirrors Wilson’s own schedule, who recently stepped into acting for the first time with a role in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him. Meanwhile, a documentary about her life and career, “Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool,” premieres at the South by Southwest festival in Austin before landing on Netflix on April 22.

On the touring front, Wilson is gearing up for her next run of shows, including a performance at RodeoHouston and major festival appearances later this year at Stagecoach, JazzFest, and the Windy City Smokeout, along with select stadium dates with Chris Stapleton.

Lily Collins to portray Audrey Hepburn in film about the making of ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’

Lily Collins is stepping into the role of screen legend Audrey Hepburn in an upcoming feature centered on the making of the 1961 classic ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s.’

Best known for playing Emily Cooper on Emily in Paris, Collins has long drawn comparisons to Hepburn for her classic features and style. Collins, 36, confirmed the casting in an Instagram post, sharing her excitement after nearly a decade of development. “It’s with almost 10 years of development and a lifetime of admiration and adoration for Audrey that I’m finally able share this,” she wrote. “Honored and ecstatic don’t begin to express how I feel.”

The project draws inspiration from the New York Times bestseller “Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M.: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the Dawn of the Modern Woman” by Sam Wasson, which chronicles how the beloved romantic comedy came together — from early development and casting to production challenges and its lasting cultural impact. The book highlights key figures involved in the film, including writer Truman Capote, costume designer Edith Head and director Blake Edwards, while examining how the movie reshaped Hollywood, fashion and modern femininity.

The screenplay will be written by Alena Smith, with the film currently in development through Collins’ production banner, Case Study Films. Over the years, Collins has frequently spoken about her admiration for Hepburn. In a 2014 interview with Marie Claire, she praised the icon’s “timeless features, elegance, and charm will always represent the epitome of grace.”

Buzz and Woody return in the official trailer for ‘Toy Story 5’

Disney and Pixar have unveiled the official trailer for Toy Story 5, marking the return of Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the beloved gang seven years after the fourth film reshaped their world. The latest chapter in Pixar’s longest-running series arrives in theaters June 19.

In Toy Story 5, the toys are facing a challenge that feels especially timely: screens. Bonnie’s attention is captured by a new Lilypad tablet (voiced by Greta Lee) forcing her toys to confront what their role is in a childhood increasingly centered on technology. Jessie (Joan Cusack) rallies the toys as they attempt to win back Bonnie (Scarlett Spears). Woody (Tom Hanks), who chose a life of independence with Bo Peep (Annie Potts) at the end of the last film, reconnects with the group via walkie-talkie and eventually rejoins the action —with his return sparking some playful teasing from Buzz (Tim Allen) and the others. Familiar faces including Forky (Tony Hale), Slinky Dog, Hamm, Trixie and an entire squad of Buzz Lightyears join the effort to keep Bonnie engaged in imaginative play.

Much of the voice cast also returns, including John Ratzenberger, Blake Clark, Wallace Shawn, Kristen Schaal and Keanu Reeves. Following the deaths of Don Rickles and Estelle Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head are now voiced by Jeff Bergman and Anna Vocino. Ernie Hudson steps in as Combat Carl, a role previously voiced by Carl Weathers, and John Hopkins takes over Mr. Pricklepants from Timothy Dalton.

Andrew Stanton directs Toy Story 5 alongside Kenna Harris, guiding the franchise into its next phase. The film follows a period of renewed success for Pixar, after Inside Out 2 dominated the global box office in 2024 with more than $1.5 billion in ticket sales.

Megan Thee Stallion shares update after falling ill during performance of “Moulin Rouge! The Musical”

Megan Thee Stallion is updating fans on her health after she was forced to step away from her performance in Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway after suddenly falling ill – prompting a mid-show interruption, and a hospital visit.

The Grammy-winning artist, who recently began portraying nightclub host Harold Zidler at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, was taken for medical evaluation after experiencing concerning symptoms onstage. The show was halted mid-show and guests were asked to remain seated as the situation unfolded; an understudy stepped in as the show resumed.

Doctors later determined the cause of Megan’s illness, and was diagnosed with extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction, and low metabolic levels. She was treated and released the same night and is now recovering. Following the incident, Megan addressed fans on social media, acknowledging the toll of her demanding schedule. “Last night was a real wake-up call for me. I’ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough. It honestly scared me. I thought I was gonna faint on stage, I really tried to push through my performance but I just couldn’t.”  She confirmed she would miss Wednesday’s performances to recover, but reassured fans of a quick return: “I’ll be right back on that stage Thursday, stronger, clearer, and ready to give you 100% the way you deserve.”

Megan made her Broadway debut on March 24 in the role of Zidler, becoming the first woman to take on the part in any production of the show. Her limited engagement is scheduled to run through May 17. The long-running musical, a modernized take on a Parisian nightclub story featuring pop hits alongside classics like “Lady Marmalade,” is set to close on July 26 after seven years on Broadway.

Melissa Etheridge and Wynonna Judd to embark on “Raised On Radio” co-headlining tour

Music icons Wynonna Judd and Melissa Etheridge are joining forces for a nationwide co-headlining concert run this summer. The Grammy-winning artists revealed that they will hit the road together for the “Raised On Radio Tour,” a 27-date U.S. trek inspired by the songs that shaped their early love of music. The tour will visit cities across the country, including San Diego, Reno, Atlanta and Seattle, and will also feature a special symphony performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Judd shared the announcement on social media, reflecting on how radio influenced both performers growing up. “We grew up on the same songs, the same airwaves, and the same kind of music that brings people together.”

In a press release, Judd explained the personal meaning behind the tour’s title. “I’ve spent my entire adult life onstage, but before any of that, I was just a girl sitting close to a radio speaker, hanging on every word. That’s where it all started for me. ‘Raised On Radio’ isn’t just a tour name—it’s my roots and wings. It’s late nights with the dial turned low, chasing distant stations through the static. It’s songs that felt like they understood me before I understood myself. The radio was my teacher, my comfort, my escape. The songs playing through that radio shaped me as a dreamer and an artist. This tour is about going back to that feeling and sharing it with you.”

Etheridge echoed that sentiment, saying she “was literally raised on the radio.” She recalled listening to a hometown station that exposed her to many genres. “They played every kind of music from rock and soul to R&B and country music. It helped shape me to become the versatile writer and musician that I am today.”

The “Raised On Radio Tour” will also support charitable causes — for every ticket sold, the artists will donate $1 each—one dollar to The Etheridge Foundation, which focuses on research into plant-based treatments for opioid addiction, and another dollar to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Gas prices surge past $4 as Iran conflict disrupts global oil supply

Gasoline prices across the United States climbed above $4 per gallon on Tuesday for the first time in nearly four years, driven by escalating tensions in the Middle East and major disruptions to global oil supply.

According to AAA, the national average reached about $4.01 per gallon, with premium fuel averaging $4.90 and diesel rising to $5.45. Prices have jumped more than 30% since late February, when the U.S. and Israel launched coordinated strikes on Iran, triggering a broader conflict.

Despite being a net exporter of oil, the U.S. is not insulated from rising costs because fuel prices are tied to global markets (crude oil alone accounts for more than half of what consumers pay at the pump.) At the center of the issue is the Strait of Hormuz, a critical corridor that typically handles about one-fifth of the world’s oil shipments. Iran’s response—including restrictions and intermittent closures of the route—has sharply reduced supply, sending shockwaves through global energy markets.

Oil prices have reacted swiftly — Benchmark Brent crude oil surged to around $115 per barrel Tuesday, up from roughly $70 before the war, while U.S.-produced West Texas Intermediate climbed to about $104. Analysts warn that continued instability could push prices even higher.

The International Energy Agency described the issue as “the largest supply chain disruption in the history of the global oil market,” with its director cautioning that the situation poses a “major, major threat” to the global economy. In response, member nations have announced a historic release of 400 million barrels from strategic reserves to ease supply pressure.

Meanwhile, the conflict shows little sign of easing. President Trump has claimed ongoing negotiations with Iran, though Tehran has disputed that characterization. He has also threatened further strikes, including on Iran’s energy infrastructure, if a deal is not reached “shortly.”

King Charles, Queen Camilla to visit U.S., despite calls to cancel amid Iran conflict

King Charles III and Queen Camilla are set to travel to Washington, D.C., from April 27 to 30 for an official state visit, marking a major moment in U.S.-U.K. relations as America approaches its 250th anniversary of independence. The trip, confirmed by Buckingham Palace, comes at the invitation of President Trump.

In a statement shared on social media, Trump said, “Melania and I are pleased to announce that Their Majesties, the King and Queen of the United Kingdom, will visit the United States for a Historic State Visit from April 27-30th, which will include a beautiful Banquet Dinner at the White House on the evening of April 28th.”

According to the palace, “On advice of His Majesty’s Government, and at the invitation of The President of the United States, The King and Queen will undertake a State Visit to the United States of America. Their Majesties’ programme will celebrate the historic connections and the modern bilateral relationship between the United Kingdom and the United States, marking the 250th anniversary of American Independence.”

The visit follows Trump’s own trip to the U.K. last September, which featured a formal state banquet at Windsor Castle attended by senior members of the royal family. These high-profile exchanges are designed to reinforce diplomatic ties, particularly during challenging global moments.

This will be Charles’s first official visit to the U.S. as king, though he has traveled there 19 times previously. In contrast, Queen Elizabeth II made four state visits during her reign, with the most recent taking place in 2007. While in Washington, Charles is expected to take part in commemorative events and may address Congress. Afterward, he will continue on to Bermuda—his first visit to the British overseas territory as monarch.

The trip comes against a complicated political backdrop, including tensions surrounding the Iran conflict and ongoing diplomatic differences between Trump and U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Despite these strains, the visit is intended to highlight enduring ties between the two nations.
