Jennifer Aniston reveals secret struggle with infertility

Jennifer Aniston is speaking about her fertility struggles and IVF attempts for the first time.
In her Allure December 2022 cover story published Wednesday, the 53-year-old actress opened up about her “challenging” journey trying to conceive a child during her 30s and 40s.

The “Friends” alum said in part: “I was trying to get pregnant. It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road .. All the years and years and years of speculation… It was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it. I would’ve given anything if someone had said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.’ You just don’t think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed.”

Aniston says now she has “zero regrets” and now “actually feel[s] a little relief,” explaining:  “There is no more, ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.’ I don’t have to think about that anymore .. I’ve spent so many years protecting my story about IVF. I’m so protective of these parts because I feel like there’s so little that I get to keep to myself. … I don’t have anything to hide.”

The actress, who was married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005 and Justin Theroux from 2015 to 2017, has fought back at the “narrative” over the years that she never wanted children and was a “selfish” partner whose husband left her because she “wouldn’t give him a kid.” Said Aniston: “God forbid a woman is successful and doesn’t have a child. … It was absolute lies.”

Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds announces new project

Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds is sharing his work on the music for a new Showtime series called Spector, which tells the story of Phil Spector, the infamous record producer who was convicted of murder and died in jail in 2021.

Reynolds wrote on Instagram: “I had the absolute pleasure of working on the score/soundtrack for this incredible series with @ajavolkman @waynesermonid It debuts this evening on @showtime at 9pm and was done by the talented and wonderful @dargott and @sheenamjoyce”

As Reynolds mentioned, he worked on the score and soundtrack with his wife and fellow musician Aja Volkman. Unfortunately, in September the couple announced they had split, after attempting to reconcile. The couple — who shares three children (Arrow Eve, 10, twins Gia James and Coco Rae, 5, and Valentine, 2) — initially split in April 2018 and attempted to reconcile their marriage that November.

2022 Midterm Elections: Control of House and Senate still up in the air

As of early Wednesday, control of the U.S. House and Senate were up in the air as states across the country tallied votes, and many midterm election races remained neck-and-neck. Millions of Americans also cast their votes in key races for governor, secretary of state and other offices down the ballot.

The close contests will determine whether Democrats keep the majority in the House and Senate, or if Republicans will seize control of one or both chambers of the legislature. Democrats picked up a pivotal Senate seat in Pennsylvania, as Lt. Gov. John Fetterman was projected to defeat Republican Mehmet Oz; however critical Senate races in Georgia, Wisconsin, Nevada and Arizona were undetermined as of early Wednesday.

Some projections had Republicans ending up with 220 seats in the House, giving them the narrow majority. Republicans came into Election Day hoping to take commanding control of the chamber, which could make a huge difference for President Biden, whose legislative hopes rest on whether Democrats can push his agenda through Congress.

Suspect in custody after 1 student is killed in shooting inside Seattle high school

A suspect is in custody and one student is dead after a shooting at a North Seattle school on Tuesday morning. Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell, Seattle Police Chief Adrian Diaz and Representative Pramila Jayapal held a press conference to provide updates about the shooting, where they announced that the student who was shot had died from their injuries.

Just before 10:00 a.m., officers responded to Ingraham High School on North 135th St. for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they immediately entered the school and found a student with a gunshot wound. Police said the victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, and later died. The victim was not identified, and police have not said whether the suspect is a student.

While students were in lockdown and the suspect was at large, parents reported not receiving any communication from the school about the shooting, having heard the news from either social media, text messages or word-of-mouth from neighbors. The Seattle public school district tweeted: “There was gunfire reported at Ingraham High School this morning. One student is believed to have been shot. The campus is currently on lockdown. Seattle Police are on the scene and working with the district’s Safety and Security team. SPD is searching the area for the suspect.”

The campus was placed on lockdown and police secured the campus; and before noon, students were released one classroom at a time. Police then set up a location for families to reunite with students. All activities at the high school are suspended for Wednesday and Thursday.

Colts interim coach Jeff Saturday names Parks Frazier new play-caller

One day after replacing head coach Frank Reich, the Indianapolis Colts interim coach Jeff Saturday has named his play-caller. Reich had been overseeing Indianapolis’ offense after firing coordinator Marcus Brady after Week 8, but starting on Sunday’s game against the Raiders, the play-calling duties will be taken over by assistant Parks Frazier.

The 30-year-old Frazier is in his fifth season with the Colts, hired by Reich in 2018. The former Northeast Mississippi and Murray State quarterback spent his first two years as an assistant to the head coach, and after one season as offensive quality control coach, Frazier was elevated to assistant QBs coach in 2021. He was named pass game specialist/assistant QBs coach this year.  In his time as assistant to the head coach, Frazier would communicate with Reich from the coaches’ box, offering in-game tips on opposing tendencies.
