‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ Heading to Disney+ 2 Months Early For May 4th Release

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will hit streaming on Disney+ two months early. The final chapter of the Skywalker saga will hit the streaming service on May 4 (i.e. the fan-celebrated May the 4th holiday). This means that all nine entries in the Skywalker saga will now be streamable via Disney+, which recently earned the critical and commercial hit with the series The Mandalorian.

Rise of Skywalker will be joined on May 4 by the launch of the eight-episode docuseries Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, as well as the series finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Alicia Keys Premieres Video For New Single “Good Job” On CNN Town Hall

Alicia Keys has partnered with CNN for the visual premiere of her new single “Good Job.” Keys globally premiered the video during CNN’s special live Global Town Hall which addressed “the latest questions and concerns in the fight against COVID-19.” Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta hosted.

“Good Job” was originally recorded last year for Keys’ forthcoming seventh studio album ALICIA and is now being dedicated to “people spanning all walks of life during the COVID-19 crisis.” The track was co-written by Keys’ husband Swizz Beatz, The-Dream and Avery Chambliss. It will also appear in an upcoming CNN Heroes campaign.

Dave Chappelle And Others Help Raise $100k In Covid-19 Relief For Struggling Comedians

Dave Chappelle, along with comedians Bill Burr, Whitney Cummings and Chris D’Elia, used their star power to help out struggling comics hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic. 

The comedians teamed with the world-famous Comedy Store on Sunset Blvd. in California to raise $100k for comedians by creating 3 episodes of a live, on-camera podcast. Dave was a special, unannounced guest on the final episode, which ended up being a virtual reunion for “Chappelle’s Show,” as he told jokes alongside Neal Brennan, Burr and Donnell Rawlings.

Cummings hosted the benefit’s first episode, along with D’Elia, Bobby Lee, Andrew Santino, and Tim Dillon. Tom Segura hosted the second episode with Joey Diaz, Bert Kreischer and Theo Von.  All the episodes are on YouTube and are available on demand through The Comedy Store Channel on Roku, Apple TV and Xbox. Viewers donated $100,000 directly to The Comedy Store Family Fund by text message during the live broadcast, and those wishing to donate can still do so by texting TCSFamily to 41444.

Kristin Cavallari And Jay Cutler Announce Divorce After 10 Years Together

Kristin Cavallari posted on Instagram Sunday to share the sad news that she and husband Jay Cutler have decided to divorce. The two have been together for nearly a decade and share three kids together—Camden Jack Cutler (7), Jaxon Wyatt Cutler (5) and Saylor James Cutler (4).

“With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce,” the reality TV personality’s lengthy caption began, alongside an image of her and the retired NFL star. “We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of,” her statement continued. “This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family.”

Jay shared the same statement on his Instagram account, alongside a black-and-white photo of him and The Hills alum. The couple tied the knot in 2013 in Nashville, and had been engaged since November 2011, after dating on and off for years.

Chris Pratt And Wife Katherine Schwarzenegger Expecting Their First Child

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger are expecting their first child together, ten months after the couple tied the knot. The baby will be Schwarzenegger’s first child and Pratt’s second: he shares his 7-year-old son Jack with his ex-wife, Anna Faris.

Pratt and Schwarzenegger were married on June 8 last year in an intimate ceremony held in Montecito, California, attended by friends and family, including Schwarzenegger’s parents Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Pratt’s son, Jack. The couple began dating in summer 2018 and were engaged by January 2019.

Schwarzenegger recently published her fourth book, The Gift of Forgiveness, while Pratt is set to star in a Parks & Recreation reunion special airing on April 30, which will raise funds for coronavirus relief efforts. (Proceeds will go to Feeding America.) The special, will reunite the main cast members, who will shoot the special from their homes: others on board include Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Rob Lowe, Aubrey Plaza, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, and Adam Scott.

Venom 2 Sequel ‘Let There Be Carnage’ Delays Release To Summer 2021

A sequel to the 2018 Tom Hardy vehicle Venom, will no longer be arriving this October.The sequel—which now boasts the official title Venom: Let There Be Carnage—has been moved to June 25, 2021.

While no specific reason for the delay was given, Let There Be Carnage is the latest project to have its release delayed amid continued COVID-19 social distancing in the U.S. 

Hardy’s Eddie Brock is joined by Woody Harrelson as Carnage, Michelle Williams as Anne Weying, Naomie Harris as Shriek, and Reid Scott as Dan Lewis. The sequel is helmed by Andy Serkis, whose directorial debut Breathe starring Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy dropped back in 2017.

“Hunger Games” Prequel In The Works

The “Hunger Games” story will continue as author Suzann Collins plans to release a prequel book — which a movie will be based on —-titled “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.”  The book is scheduled for release on May 19 and will explores the origin of the series’ dystopian society.

“Lionsgate has always been the cinematic home of ‘The Hunger Games,’ and I’m delighted to be returning to them with this new book,” Collins said in a statement.  For the new movie, Collins will serve as executive producer. Francis Lawrence returns as director after making the three previous “Hunger Games” movies. Nina Jacobson will again produce, along with Brad Simpson.  Collins’ series — including “The Hunger Games,” “Catching Fire” and “Mockingjay” — has sold tens of millions of copies worldwide and is the basis for four Lionsgate movies that earned nearly $3 billion and starred Jennifer Lawrence as the heroine Katniss Everdeen.

The new film will take place in Collins’ fictional Panem and center on 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow, the future president, played in the earlier movies by Donald Sutherland.

Chip And Joanna Gaines Debuting Four Hour Network Preview

Chip and Joanna Gaines had to delay the launch of their Magnolia Network because of the pandemic, but they are giving viewers a taste of what’s to come. Magnolia Network, Discovery, Inc.’s joint-venture with the Gaines’ home and lifestyle brand Magnolia, announced that “Magnolia Presents: A Look Back & A Look Ahead: will air beginning Sunday at 5 p.m. EST on DIY Network.

The four-hour Magnolia Network preview event “offers viewers a chance to sample some of the incredible stories waiting to be told on Magnolia Network,” according to a press release. Chip and Joanna Gaines said in a statement: “Right now, it’s important that we all continue to look out for one another by upholding the guidelines set forth by the experts, leaders and front-line heroes working tirelessly to get us all through this difficult time.”

The Magnolia Network had been set to debut on October 4, but that’s not happening because of Covid-19-related production delays. Instead the four-hour network preview event will kick off with “a look back” at where it all began: the couple’s enormously popular HGTV series “Fixer Upper.”

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis Selling ‘Quarantine Wine’ To Aid Coronavirus Relief

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis announced that they will be selling “Quarantine Wine” in aid of those suffering because of the pandemic. The announcement was made on Kutcher’s verified social media accounts.  Kutcher wrote on his Instagram page, “Mila and I are Launching Quarantine wine! 100% of profits go to covid-19 relief efforts.” When Kutcher said “These are unprecedented times that we’re living in and unprecedented times call for unprecedented…” Kunis finished his sentence with “More drinking.”

“We’ve been finding charities that are focusing on getting PPE into the country, charities that are helping feed kids, businesses that are in distress,” Kutcher said. America’s Food Fund, Direct Relief, The Frontline Responders Fund and Give Directly are four of the charities that will benefit.
