Cole Swindell drops his new song “Forever To Me”

Cole Swindell has released his new single “Forever To Me,” which will be included on his upcoming as-yet-untitled fifth studio album.

Swindell shares of the track: “To be living in a moment and get to write about it, I don’t think it can ever get more real than that. And one of the reasons I love songwriting and country music. Outside of ‘You Should Be Here,’ I think this song is honestly one of the most personal songs I have written and shows exactly where I am in my life – Greylan [James], Rocky [Block] and I knew from the time we sat down to write this song that it was special. This is one I think a lot of folks can relate to in some way- either what you dream about one day or what it is like to finally find your forever.”. Take a listen to “Forever to Me” – here.

Swindell will launch his 2024 headlining Win The Night Tour on May 16th in London, Ontario, Canada. Joining Cole on tour will be special guest Dylan Scott as well as Jon Langston, Lily Rose, Mackenzie Carpenter, Meghan Patrick, and Restless Road who will be on various dates throughout the tour.

Disney+ to stream original Beatles’ 1970 ‘Let It Be’ film restored by Peter Jackson

Disney+ announced they will release a restored version of the Beatles film Let It Be, announcing in a press release that the film will premiere May 8

Per Billboard, the film chronicling the final days of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr will be available for the first time in more than 50 years when it airs exclusively on Disney+ on May 8. Let It Be, directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg, was originally released in May 1970. The film follows Lennon, McCartney, Harrison and Starr as they rehearse and record songs in January 1969 for their 1970 album, Let It Be; the album was the group’s final before their split.

Director Peter Jackson and his Park Road Post Production, with the support of original director Lindsay-Hogg, restored the Let It Be film from the original 16mm negative. Jackson previously worked on 2021’s The Beatles: Get Back docuseries that explored the making of the Let It Be album, which featured unused footage and audio from the original Let It Be film.

Jackson said in a statement: “I’m absolutely thrilled that Michael’s movie, ‘Let It Be’, has been restored and is finally being re-released after being unavailable for decades. I was so lucky to have access to Michael’s outtakes for ‘Get Back’, and I’ve always thought that ‘Let It Be’ is needed to complete the ‘Get Back’ story. Over three parts, we showed Michael and The Beatles filming a groundbreaking new documentary, and ‘Let It Be’ is that documentary — the movie they released in 1970. I now think of it all as one epic story, finally completed after five decades. The two projects support and enhance each other: ‘Let It Be’ is the climax of ‘Get Back’, while ‘Get Back’ provides a vital missing context for ‘Let It Be’.”

Pearl Jam share visualizer for ‘Wreckage’ off new LP ‘Dark Matter’

Pearl Jam shared the visualizer for “Wreckage,” from their recently-released 12th studio album, Dark Matter.

During an interview with Spin, guitarist Stone Gossard revealed how Eddie Vedder and producer Andrew Watt created the track. Said Gossard: “Andrew and Ed worked that out together. One morning, we came in and they had something going on. “That one probably has the biggest build for me personally, in terms of hearing it at first and thinking, it’s kind of an Ed song. I wasn’t quite aware of its potency until later. Andrew encouraged me to play this little harmonic, acoustic part almost like a Cure melody. I’ve been playing along with the song to relearn it and I’m really looking forward to playing it live. It’s a really powerful lyric and I think we did a really great job of taking something and really pushing it to its limit.”

Gossard added about “Wreckage” (per Blabbermouth): “That one probably has the biggest build for me personally, in terms of hearing it at first and thinking, it’s kind of an Ed [Vedder, PEARL JAM singer] song.

Pearl Jam will support the release of their new LP with the ‘Dark Matter’ world tour, kicking off May 4 in Vancouver, Canada.
