Trisha Yearwood Working On New Comfort Food Cookbook

Trisha Yearwood, host of the long-running Food Network show Trisha’s Southern Kitchen, revealed plans for a new cookbook, which will feature a collection of comfort food recipes.

“I’ve just started working on cookbook number four,” said Trisha via Facebook. “Did I just make an announcement? I don’t know if I did or not [laughing], but that’ll—hopefully—be coming out next year. And it’s been really fun. I’ve missed doing it.”  Trisha added: “I’ve figured out what we do is comfort food, so that’s what we’re going with. I’m having a really good time.”

Trisha is the author of three best-selling books: Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen (2008), Home Cooking With Trisha Yearwood (2010) and Trisha’s Southern Kitchen (2015).

Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium Vandalized During Protests

As peaceful protests devolved into violent looting and vandalism, many of Nashville”s famous landmarks were vandalized. 

Looters turned their attention on Nashville’s Lower Broadway,, breaking windows, setting fires and ransacking a number of local businesses. Big Time Boots, AJ’s Good Time Bar, The Stage, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, Legends Corner and more were impacted, and in all 30 local buildings sustained damage due to the riots. Also vandalized was the historic Ryman Auditorium — the most famous home of the Grand Ole Opry and live-concert treasure, known around the world as the Mother Church of Country Music.

The outbreak of violence caused Nashville Mayor John Cooper to call for a 10 p.m. citywide curfew, and police swept the area threatening to arrest anyone caught on the streets. Tennessee Governor Bill Lee mobilized the National Guard. Cleanup efforts.

Midland Drop New Acoustic EP Titled “Guitars, Couches, Etc., Etc.”

Midland released a new five-song EP, Guitars, Couches, Etc., Etc., and the title pays homage to Dwight Yoakam’s 1986 debut album, Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc.

Mark Wystrach, Cameron Duddy and Jess Carson, the trio who comprise Midland, have included their current single, “Cheatin’ Songs,” as well as chart-topper “Drinkin’ Problem,” “Burn Out” and more on the new EP

Kip Moore Premieres ”7 Days At The Rock” Documentary With New Album ‘Wild World’

Kip Moore’s fourth studio album, Wild World, was released on May 29 and the musician shared a 26-minute documentary film titled 7 Days at the Rock, which chronicles the weeks leading up to the album release. 

Moore said in a statement: “7 Days at the Rock came around really organically leading up to the release of this record. This is a unique moment in time for all of us that none of us will ever forget and so it felt right to kind of reflect on everything that is going on, as well as shed some light into the process of releasing Wild World.”

Wild World features 13 songs, 12 of which Moore co-wrote. You can take a look at the documentary 7 Days at the Rock at the link: here.

Take A Look At Dolly Parton’s New Video For “When Life Is Good Again”

Dolly Parton has released a new quarantine-inspired song, “When Life Is Good Again.” Dolly debuted the song’s new video while speaking virtually with Time magazine for its new TIME100 Talks: Finding Hope project. The live virtual event series convenes leaders from different disciplines to spotlight solutions to urgent global problems and encourage cross-disciplinary action.

“Since our world was forever changed by the COVID virus, I have felt a deep respect and appreciation for all of our frontline responders,” says Dolly. “This video is to pay respect to them and to remind all of us that this too shall pass. If we pull together as a community, we can rise above and look forward to more beautiful days on the horizon. I hope you love this song as much as I have loved bringing it to you.”

Take A Listen To Kelsea Ballerini’s Latest Single “Hole In The Bottle”

Kelsea Ballerini’s Hole in a Bottle has officially been released as her newest single. Ballerini originally debuted Hole in a Bottle during a showcase at the 2020 Country Radio Seminar on Feb. 19.

Hole in a Bottle is the third single that Ballerini has shared from her third studio album, Kelsea. She dropped “Homecoming Queen?”, the first single from the project, in September, and her collaboration with pop singer Halsey, “The Other Girl,” was released prior to “Hole in the Bottle.”

Kelsea dropped in March, and includes 13 songs in total. In addition to her special guest on “The Other Girl,” Kenny Chensey appears on “Half of My Hometown.”

Luke Combs Earns Record-Setting 8th Consecutive No. 1 Single With “Does to Me,” Featuring Eric Church

Luke Combs continues to break records — his current single, “Does to Me,” featuring Eric Church,  has hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart this week. Luke is now the first country artist in history whose first eight singles have reached No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, following previous chart-toppers “Hurricane,” “When It Rains It Pours,” “One Number Away,” “She Got the Best of Me,” “Beautiful Crazy,” “Beer Never Broke My Heart” and “Even Though I’m Leaving.””

Co-written by Combs, Ray Fulcher and Tyler Reeve, “Does to Me” is the third single from Luke’s 2019 album, What You See Is What You Get.

Maren Morris Sets New Record On Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart With “The Bones”

Maren Morris’ “The Bones” has broken a chart record previously set by Taylor Swift. “The Bones” has been No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart for 11 straight weeks, setting a new record for the longest-running No. 1 ever on that chart by a solo female artist. Swift previously held the record with 2012’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” which topped that chart for 10 weeks.

Bebe Rexha still holds the record as the woman who’s spent the most time at No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart with her collaboration with Florida Georgia Line, “Meant to Be,” which was No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart for 50 weeks.

“The Bones” has also hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult Pop Songs chart, and it currently ranks No. 7 on the publication’s Adult Contemporary chart, and No. 18 on its Pop Songs chart. It’s No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Take A Listen To Cole Swindell’s New Tune “Single Saturday Night”

Cole Swindell has release a new song for the summer titled “Single Saturday Night.”  Written by Ashley Gorley, Michael Hardy and Mark Holman, “Single Saturday Night” follows the release of Cole’s No. 1 single, “Love You Too Late,” which topped the Billboard Country Airplay chart in October 2019.

Cole’s tour dates with Thomas Rhett’s Center Point Road Tour have been rescheduled for summer 2021.
